We arrived around 7pm and were the only customers in the restaurant besides a large group which one in the other room of the restaurant. By the time we left, both rooms of the restaurant, the patio and the bar were all completely full, and a Brazilian jazz band was playing very nice music in the main room. For diner, got 2 pizzas, one with artichoke and one with 4 cheeses. Both of them were just amazingly good and tasty. For drinks, we got the home-brewed beer and a bottle of Cabernet. The restaurant was launching their home-brewed beers, and offering a 1 buy, 1 offer deal for the occasion. The beer was pretty interesting and refreshing. The best of the night was the deserts: we got the chocolate cake (with vanilla ice cream) and the Pineapple with cinnamon and sugar (forgot the name, sorry). Just unforgettable. The service was very good and fast as well: we did not need to speak English but they had an English menu in case you need it. The price was also very reasonable, less than 25$ per person. This restaurant completely deserves to be on the best restaurant list. You must try it if you are visiting Florianopolis.

The variety of pizzas will satisfy any taste, and the toppings are generous and it's truly a real authentic pizza crust. The quality of the toppings were excellent as was the dessert. This is the best pizza I've had in Florianopolis, and I highly recommend it.

From the beach at Barra da Lagoa. take the pedestrian bridge across the river and continue up the walkway a few hundred meters or so and you can't miss it. First off, if you can get a table upstairs, the view is definitely worth it. I arrived right at sunset and now understand why the restaurant is where it is. The view of the setting sun over the Barra da Lagoa beach is quite impressive. I happened upon this restaurant in the middle of winter, and it was almost empty. The waiter said that it does have a large lunch crowd on weekends, and is completely full every day in the summer . I really enjoyed the music selection and the waiter was gracious enough to tell me a bit about some of the Brazilian groups they played. They serve seafood, chicken and various steaks. I had the garlic shrimp appetizer and it was amazing. The grilled chicken (served with Brazilian standard sides rice, black beans and fries) was forgettable: not great, but not bad either. Overall, it's definitely worth taking the road less traveled to get there.
