Safely over time and because brazil is usually in some sort of financial crisis they were forced to downsize by a whole lot. Now they are reduced to some kiosks in strategic points of the city. The food era of this brand seems to be over for now but the coffee they serve is still on point. If you traveling back from brazil from the rio de janeiro international airport you should definetly have a cup of coffe at the palheta kiosk and try their cheese bread on the side. They have some tables around the kiosk so you and your friends can sit and enjoy your coffe. Best of all they serve the coffe in real mugs not the paper or plastic cups you are so used to receive from the large American coffe companies out there.

Fortunately they deviate from the traditional "cafezinho" and "café com leite" with more options - latte, capuccino, americano, etc - making it worth stopping by if you need a bit of caffeine. But do expect to pay airport prices. Another noteworthy info is that they have recharging stations (albeit with the tradition 3-pin Brazilian plug) but no wifi - although you can use the airports free wifi.

As you can tell by the name, the specialty is brownies and they have a big selection. Today we were feeling hot from Rio summer so we opted for a brigadeiro milkshake, which was delicious. We also tried out the pão de queijo, and even though it wasn't bad, I think I'll stick with the brownies next time. In the past I have gotten the Little Brownie and it makes a perfect snack. You pick the brownie of your choice and it also comes with a scoop of ice cream. Even the coffee is good here, so you really can't go wrong.
