We were a party of 6 and they took us upstairs through what felt like a maze of tables and parties enjoying wine and tapas. I already had fallen in love with the ambiance that felt cozy and intimate. We were seated and proceeded to order a ton of starters. One of the highlights were the oytsers which were dressed with shrimp, the pan con tomate, the burrata salad and the cochinillo main. Wow. That pork was divine, and we all agreed it was the star of the night. Our friendly server also recommended two different wines - a white from the area and a red. Both were great and perfect pairings with our meal. We ended with dessert which was torrejas and a homemade strawberry ice cream. I loved them both. Would definitely put this spot on your list when in Palma. It's in the walkable area of town so pop in and explore before and after.

We had actually passed this place up as we were getting gelato one of the nights and things were shutting down. We knew we needed to come back here when the kitchen was open and our stomachs were wide open. The next day after a long beach day and being extra hungry, we made SURE we came. Despite not having any reservations, they let the five of us sit pretty quickly and we had the best waiter that made us crack up the whole time. We ordered a bit of everything for the table to share, they had plenty of vegetarian tapas options for us while our friends also decided to go all out with seafood. When in Mallorca, right? They use the freshest of the seafood and this was for sure a great spot to enjoy it at. After delicious sangria, cheeses, tapas, patatas, croquetas and yummy bread - and ALIOLI OF COURSE - we practically rolled out of there feeling incredible. Says right away, you found the gem! They were super busy and one table by the egress window by the waiters station opened up and the host gladly jumped up to accommodate us. As we were situated, finding out that this place runs like a clockwork. Decided to order that two items that Yelp recommended and did not disappoint us. However the restaurant is small, it seems the business tries to keep it busy & excessive tables. Believe that makes it hard for the waiters to properly serve the customers. Food portions are large, main entrees could easily feed 2 people. Olives were good, usually pretty hard to fail olives. Calamari was amazing, perfectly seasoned so no sauce is provided or required. Steak was good & did not require any additional seasoning. Now the fries were less than desirable. Meat balls mediocre. Overall good food, provided your waiter doesn't look track of you!

I'd expect them to be a little more liberal with the pours for a ~10 or ~12 euro drink! Back home in the states, I never have this problem, so this was dissapointment #1. My wife ordered a frozen strawberry daquiri, which was overly sweet (again - not enough booze for what they charge), and gave her a stomach ache. Food - The server disappeared for a while after we ordered the drinks, so we had plenty of time to look over the menu. It was a decent size and many things sounded good, but the one thing we wanted to try most (the wings) were out of stock. This would have been nice to know and should have been mentioned when we were handed our menus. To avoid waiting another 15-20 mins, I immediately jumped to a back-up option of the chicken skewers with coconut chili sauce... chicken was dry, and the sauce was not flavorful. The patatas bravas were not bad, but not good either -- the sauce needed more spice/flavor. The Sunshine sushi roll was a joke. Literally 4 small pieces. Tasted OK, but such a tiny portion and not priced accordingly. The King prawns with avocado and tomato salad weren't that big. The prawns were tasty, but the avo/tomato salad was pathetic, no seasoning at all. Wouldn't come back, and don't recommend trying here to others either. Drive into downtown, or take your chance at one of the neighborhood German places I suppose.

Long wait. Serious tapas…read more Tried to calling over two days for reservations but no answer. Arrived at 7p and only waited about 1hr. Loved our "Table" outside sitting in the window. It was a perfect night for it and much more romantic than the bright and loud inside. Service was at a pace expected and we were in no hurry. The food deserves to be savored. Add this to your list!

Bossa Nova is run by the most wonderful and charming couple and the rest of the staff is equally, if not more, pleasant. If you let them take care of you, you will enjoy the food very much, even though on its own it would probably deserve a 3/5. We had a seafood spaghetti to share as a primi, with a very nice sauce and a good variety of seafood; shrimp, mussels, vongole, cod and more. Pasta was al dente. For a main dish we had pork scaloppine and saltimbocca. Meat was tender, while the sauces had decent taste, but slightly lumpy. There is also a set lunch menu that is very good value for money! Not a big selection of wine on offer (just a red, white and rosé). All in all, if you just want to wind down and feel some genuine warmth while out and about in the more touristy parts of Palma old town, this is the place to do it. The food is also quite comforting!
