This is by far one of the most charming cafes we've ever been too. Hands down, wonderful environment, full of character, like stepping chic cafe down in Mexico City. The coffee, pastries, and staff are first-rate. The pastries are freshly baked as they are sold, so you don't have to worry about eating anything stale or old. What I thought would be a convenient little coffee shop right outside my hotel ended up being a memorable traditional Mexican breakfast experience. The space is adorable, with a modern aesthetic seemingly inspired by Frida Kahlo--colorful and floral. I ordered an iced latte, which was very well balanced--not overly sweet and still flavorful. Most of the staff primarily spoke Spanish, but they were able to accommodate English-speaking guests as well. For breakfast, I went with the chicken chilaquiles, and man oh man, was I impressed! The chips had great texture for being smothered in toppings. They were thick enough to maintain their structural integrity while still being thin enough to soak up all the delicious flavors from the toppings--perfectly crunchy-chewy. We went to the place a couple of weeks ago and had a great experience! We were surprised to get seated right away as this was on the weekend but we got there right before a rush. The wait staff was very friendly and the coffee was great! The food was super flavorful and the ambiance was very lively and full of cover. Cute Spot with Great Flavors! The place is very cute, though it is on the smaller side. I was happy that I was able to reserve online for six adults, one stroller, and a high chair. The table initially felt a bit small, but the staff was quick to address this and were able to place another table next to ours to accommodate our whole party. I really appreciated their flexibility. Our server was attentive throughout the meal. The food had good flavor overall. I got the Jardin Pancakes, and they were delicious. My husband had the Enchiladas Suizas, which he enjoyed, though in my opinion, they could have been served hotter. One thing the restaurant needs to work on is communication regarding the menu. We were disappointed to learn that some items, like the Tacos Al Vapor, are not a daily offering. This should be clearly noted on the menu to prevent customers being disappointed. The decor is very nice and definitely the highlight of the place. Unfortunately, that's about all the restaurant has going for it. If you sit too close to the doors, you'll be dealing with flies, which made the experience uncomfortable. The chairs also weren't very clean and had hair on them, which was disappointing. The place itself was really nice -- the decor and vibe were on point and made it a comfortable spot to hang out. But the drinks and pastries didn't match the atmosphere. I ordered a cappuccino with a chocolate concha and both were pretty mediocre. The coffee tasted like something I could've made at home with a pod, and the concha wasn't anything special -- I've had better ones from H-E-B. Service was terrible! Hostess told us 10 to 15 minute wait when we arrived. We were fine with waiting. 3 table emptied and the hostess seated a group that arrive after us, when I asked the hostess why, she told us that they had a reservation when I watched them come in after us and were asked how many and were put on the waiting list. My wife also heard the waiter tell the hostess to seat the bigger parties first. I do not appreciate being lied to by the hostess, if she had been honest with us and just told us that they were waiting for a smaller table we would have waited. We left without eating! I've gone a total of 3 times. The first time was amazing, food is good, place is beautifully decorated, service was good. After that, the busier they got the WORSE the service, food, and seating was. My last visit I saw a family had to be squished at a small table near the bathrooms. First visit? Great. Second and third? Horrible, the chilaquiles taste good but everytime I go the food portions keep getting smaller and smaller. The pancakes are dry. The busier they get the LAZIER they get. The beautiful pastries in their glass display look amazing but are soo DRY. The filling is sweet and good but the pastry overall is dryer than the valley. Their service isn't as good and their food presentation and food portions also decline and become smaller. They seem to be more worried about accommodating than serving. I didn't even bother taking pictures of food like everyone does after my first visit. Very disappointing to see such a nice place with potential go down this route. read more

Came for oatmeal n a cappuccino but no oatmeal, so i got French toast. Waiter asked if i wanted eggs scrambled (i thought oh they come with eggs). I said yes. No eggs just the French toast n it was just dry bread with butter ,cinnamon n powdered sugar. Very dry , it was even hard to cut. Cappuccino was overly sweet , couldn't drink even half. went three times to test it out and the first was by far the best possibly because it was the day after opening. Servers aren't super familiar with the system and menu yet it seems and asked us to repeat ourselves constantly and still messed up on some items. Food was great and filling the first time and service was okay. The second time we went by was for lunch and portion sizes weren't great for flautas and since it came with no sides i added fries. Once food was brought i asked the server for the fries and he let me know that they were out of potatoes. Which i felt could've been communicated upon me ordering or when found out seeing as how my partner got a burger that did come w fries. Third time i went and got the same as the first and portion sizes had gone down and so had service. Had to wait for our coffee for around 30 minutes as our server was no where to be found to bring the coffee that was sitting on the counter and to take our order. When coffee was received two of the hot coffees had gotten cold and another was incorrect. During this time it was not busy (maybe 4 tables between two servers). Food was mediocre. Their shaken espresso tasted sour. The fruit was dried and didn't taste fresh. The service was a headache. The kind lady, not sure if she's the owner but very helpful lady who stood at the door and sat guests down accommodated to our needs and sincerely apologized for their poor service. The waiter brought my girlfriend the protein pancakes she had ordered which was supposed to come with eggs as it clearly says on the menu, "protein pancakes, serve with eggs, bacon, and fruit". However, when I asked the waiter where the eggs were, he said it was going to be an "additional charge". So I spoke to the lady at the door and she said it was "their mistake" and brought the eggs. It seems to me that their poor english speaking waiters need some more training in customer service. I get it. Overprice your food and serve mediocre food while provided mediocre service.
