We ordered the salmon in Tomatoe sauce with onions and bell pepper . It was delicious. We also ordered the paella . It comes in a plate and then they bring the rest of the pot so there is plenty. Sure one bone sometimes slips through the cracks, but when I start finding multiple bones in my food it instantly impacts my experience in a negative way. Celebrating a birthday and the guest of honor chose this establishment. We expected the place to be small based on YELP reviews. We didn't expect to be packed in so tightly. Seems that there is a table of every size in every available space. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. However, our server seemed rushed and disappeared for a time. Besides feeling rushed, the noise level was irritating. We could hardly hear each other at our own table. However, we could clearly hear every word at the two adjacent tables! I must admit the food was delicious and fresh. I would like to come back on another night, for dinner. Perhaps during the week? Or maybe sit at the bar. I was looking forward to this dinner. I love paella and make it myself, at times. Love to learn from those who make authentic dishes from their country. I had the Paella Valencia with lobster. Tiny lobster tail in this, that's fine, it's not much more money so I get that it would be small and the legs are there for show. Two mussels, one minuscule clam, a tiny piece of chicken, 2 M&M peanut sized scallops, 2 shrimp, and 5 skinny little slivers of sausage in very mushy overcooked rice. Definitely no socarrat whatsoever, so I can't excuse that. Isn't that what makes paella so special? Socarrat? What I was served was MUSHY over cooked wet rice with barely anything in it. People say it's so much you can eat leftovers? Not the case. I was so disappointed with the meal, I decided to take the rice home to dry it out. I'll probably end up throwing it out. So disappointing. Never going back. No issues with service. That was on par. Hubby said his dish was bland too. Not impressed. read more

Someone has to tell me what's nice about this place. I went for a birthday celebration with a few people and most of us got the paella bc there's not much on the menu. Started off with bland chips and then ordered the DRIEST MOST POWDERY stuffed clams I've ever had. For not only the price, but compared to every other stuffed clam known to man, this was gross. The Italian seasoning wasn't even cooked into it, we all coughed up powdery Italian seasoning. Then 3 out of 4 of us got our paella, but bc the tables are so small, we found out later on that the rest of our dish is held hostage elsewhere. After 20 min of eating, our waiter finally comes to check in on us and we ask where the lobster was. He kept all of our lobster and paella somewhere else so we never even ate the lobster. Why if this is a popular dish are ur tables not large enough to accommodate it?? None of us will come here again, didn't want to eat leftover lobster the next day when it's best fresh. read more

We did not see tortilla (Spanish omelette) on the menu but upon asking, we were told they could make one to order and even customized with ingredients so we ended up going with chorizo in it. Unlike other restaurants, this was the best part because it typically has onions and I prefer without so the fact they made to order was amazing. Our server was really accommodating and honestly all of the staff is super nice. The only thing I found odd with it being a Spanish restaurant was they had 2-3 Mexican cuisine items on their menu. Great margaritas. Wasn't able to finish it. Waiter took away almost half the drink, said it was empty and they charged me for a replacement. Waiter was terrible. Lied and said it was empty. Every time I made eye contact he looked away and walked away. Rushed us through dinner. Dessert was ordered something Natilla and was given tartufo. These waiters speak Zero English and as a result our entire meal was one big miscommunication. Won't be returning. read more

This restaurant is easy to miss when you drive by but it exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent. All staff very attentive but not overwhelming. You can dine inside or outside. I chose outside because I loved the ambiance. I am giving it 5 stars because it exceeded my expectations all around. I haven't been to a restaurant in a long time where everything looked good on the menu. They have food for vegetarians, seafood, steak, pork and chicken dishes. The food taste so good. I took my husband here for his birthday since he loves Paella and we never tried this place before. The food was amazing and the Pulpo was tender as can be. The wait staff was friendly and welcoming but I was so disappointed when we were walking out the door. On the wall in neon were all the specials that they had! The waitress never mentioned them. Since they were on the wall to the left sort of facing the bar we never saw them when we walked in. So if you go here ask if there are specials for the day. read more

I have to say I was rather disappointed with my last visit. I ordered the fish off the day with green sauce. When I ordered it I asked "What kind of fish is it?" the waiter said "it's a filet" which is the cut but I figured ok if it's a filet it's a mild white fish cut in a thin filet... well i received some kind of fish that was definitely not a filet but rather a Chunky cut of mushy, fishy tasting fish that I couldn't even eat. I asked another waiter, what kind of fish is this... he said I don't know. I wanted to send it back but my Aunt didn't want me to do that so I ended up paying for a dish that went in the garbage. I was rather disappointed with our last visit to Casa Luis and we've been coming here since 1992. You used to come in and Luis would greet you so warmly and everything was excellent this last visit nobody even stopped by our table to see how everything was, nobody noticed the untouched fish fish in front of me?? Despite the Pandemic, another wonderful Dinner this past week at Casa Luis...This time in their comfortable tent on the side of the building. We had rain but the tent was dry and they had space heaters if necessary. The food was as expected...marvelous! and the service exemplary! We started with drinks; GG Martinis with Bleu Cheese Olives and freshly made margheritas....all perfecto. For Appys the 4 of us shared; Chorizo, Gambas Ajillo, Garlic soup and Pork in Garlic Sauce. Our mains were 3 Special Veal Chops and mine was Tripe, pigs feet et. al. in a piping hot pot...all spectacular. Our food was accompanied by a pitcher of Red Sangria Fuerte! After dinner they brought over a selection of after dinner drinks...we chose the Porto..the perfect ending to an incredible experience in these trying times. read more

My father-in-law loved having paella from Casa Luis with his family. In the year since he passed away, every time we visit my mother-in-law, we order take out of his favorite items and reminisce at the kitchen table. Most times, we order while having a drink at the restaurant's bar as the friendly bar service and happily-crowded tables remind us of visits from years ago. The food is always delicious although ingredients are not always consistent in quantity or quality likely due to being fresh. This place has a reputation for having really good Spanish food. In the case of my wife and I, no bueno. Very overpriced. I ordered a $44 plate that included a 1/2 of a lobster tail. The meat was covered in that green gunk that's supposed to be cleaned out during prep. A shriveled up bite or two, at best. All paella and short on the other seafood that was supposed to be included in the dish. Maybe this was just a bad night for them, but I see no reason to return. High prices don't always mean good food. Plus, there's plenty of other options locally. read more

I went Casa Luis last week for my anniversary. I got the mixed seafood w/ green sauce which was delicious & my boyfriend got the paella with just the seafood. He enjoyed it, but said he has had better. The drinks we had were a blackberry margarita & strawberry mojito. I enjoyed the margarita but my BF didn't like the mojito because he felt there was way too much mint in the drink & was removing it & added a small amount of water to dilute the mint flavor. We both felt that it was a bit loud in there & had to talk rather loudly to hear each other! I would like to try eating there again at a less busy time; possibly lunch or an early dinner & hope that it won't be so noisy. read more

What a great place to dine and feel at home. Came here for the first time about 5 weeks ago and tried their Paella with lobster and loved it. Spoke with Delia about ordering a tray of Paella (w/o lobster) for Christmas (was hosting Christmas dinner) and she said NP, but they were not open on Christmas, so I ordered it to be picked up on Christmas Eve. Came for dinner on Christmas Eve, tried their octopus as Delia said it was a specialty of her father's, and had the lamb chops. OMG, the octopus was soooo tender, I recommend everyone try it. The lamb chops were medium rare, which was perfect. The rest of my party had steaks and the pork chop special, and everybody raved about how delicious their dishes were. On Christmas day, everyone loved the Paella Casa Luis was so accommodating to us; we requested to be seated in their outdoor tent and they turned on the heaters for us, even though we were the only ones sitting in the tent. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the trek from inside the restaurant to us in the tent; Delia stopped by regularly to chit chat and to see how we were doing. They made us feel like family. I highly recommend Casa Luis to anyone who wants a great meal and to feel welcome, like family. read more
