What a great local gem…read more We stayed here a few days in an appartement just across the street. This place had some good reviews and looked very inviting. It's a small Chiringuito sitting on a lawn, close to the ocean. There's a tent in case of bad weather and a good number of tables outside. Dogs allowed anywhere, which was great. There's a menu, but they got some daily specials, be sure to check on them and ask. Soda, beer and wine available. Staff and chef/owner here were great. Fast, friendly, helpful. The food is cooked freshly by order, portions are good sized and prices more than fair. They got some great galician specialties on the menu, seafood, as well as sandwiches and other items. We came here every night (it's open for lunch and then again for dinner). On these days we had Chorizo, Spanish Tortilla, Clams, Mussels, Tuna Panini, ham (Lacón a la gallega), and octopus (pulpo a la feria). Always a bottle of wine with. All together it did cost around 45 Euros. Good value for the location, the freshness of the ingredients and the quality. Chorizo was really flavourful and tender, Spanish Tortilla big and could feed a whole family. The mussels and clams were plenty and tasted like they just came out of the ocean. Great stuff. The most amazing items were the traditional galician dishes. The ham with potatoes (Lacón a la gallega) was fantastic. Great, tender and juicy piece of ham. On top of a good load of potatoes, some oil and paprika powder. A wonderful meal. Same goes for the divine octopus (pulpo a la feria). Same preperation as the ham. Octopus seems like an easy dish. But cook it to short, too long, too hot or cold...and it ends up chewy. This one here was cooked to perfection. So, this place here is a fantastic find. Great authentic food. Location, quality, staff. All full points. I miss this place and the good times we've had here.

Stayed in lovely Foz for a few days. We've seen this restaurant last time when we were in town…read more This time we decided to have some lunch here. It was a bit after the busiest time, so we got a table right away. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. There's lots of great items on the menu. If you love meat, fish and seafood, then there's plenty of choices. Nice wine list as well. Chose the fried squid with two dips (guacamole and salsa), the scallops and also Raxo (pork loin) with fries. A nice bottle of white wine with the meal (Terras Gauda Albarino). All dishes were excellent! The squid nice and fresh, perfectly cooked and tender. The pork nicely spiced and the scallops with nice grilled flavours. The wine was fantastic as well, matched the seafood very well. Really enjoyed our lunch. Enjoyed it so much that we came back two days later again for lunch. Again we chose the wonderful fried squid, secreto de cerdo iberico (like the Raxo - but with Iberico pork) and the clams. A really nice lunch again. The pork had very good flavours, Iberico pork is just a delight! And the clams came in a wonderful garlicy sauce with herbs. Nice to dip the bread in as well. And again a bottle of the Albarino. Both times we were very happy. Food is excellent. High quality ingredients, perfectly cooked. Perfect was also the staff/service who took care of us very well both times. Felt really welcome here. The prices are also fair for the quality of the meal here. A great restaurant, this one! Surely a highlight on our Road Trip through the North of Spain. And definitely a place we come back to. The meat looked great on other tables - so next time we will go for that for sure. Highly recommended!
