    Sauce trio - yum!
    Cat M.

Enjoyed dinner outside. This place is located in a strip mall with other restaurants so there is plenty of parking. We started w/chips & pico de gallo that included 3 sauces that ranged from mild to spicy. It was fun to try the different sauces & the chips are made from blue corn with chunks of salt on them - delish!! After we pigged out on that, we ordered a corn app that was very good & we ordered taco's. I got a shrimp & my husband had a lamb & duck taco - how original! They were all really good & made with the blue corn! Really unique menu with artisan food - will definitely be back!

3 tacos: pork belly, al pastor, birria

Holy hell. Trying to type this but I'm having a hard time with where to start... I am in town for two nights and was in the mood for tacos, Casa Masa is an obvious fan favorite on Yelp and I decided that since I have no place to be the :20 minute drive is worth it. I drove right past it (shares a building with a tattoo parlor) when I walked in there are very few tables, this is a really small space but the vibe is vibing from the moment you walk in. I started with fresh chips and ordered small orders of queso, guac and salsa. Much to my surprise my order came with a variety of sauces with it. All were good though I skipped one that smelled spicy as I am no good with spice (at least I know my faults). I grab my order: 3 tacos- a birria, a pork belly and an al pastor. All three are phenom. They're larger than I was expecting and in no way should I have eaten three but here we are. The pork belly is so moist, tender and flavorful, it was also the easiest (read: least messy?) to eat. The birria was overflowing with flavor and well, just overflowing. A huge portion and it was super delicious albeit a little messier to eat. The staff appreciated my struggle and brought napkins to my outdoor table. I must have used 5 eating this. No regrets. None. The Al pastor was my favorite I think because the ingredients were perfectly balanced and the pineapple was so juiced and fresh. I can't say enough good things. When I ordered to go I had every intention of scooping my food and driving :20 back to my hotel, but I was starving so I decided to stay. The staff was wonderful, so attentive and kind. If you're in town, don't skip. If you live here: you are so lucky, I'd trade so many of my local spots for something like this at home!

    Esquites, guacamole, chips, salas

If I could give this restaurant more than five stars, I would. Everything was amazing from our initial greeting to the chips and guacamole, appetizer, drinks and main course. The service was top tier. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly. Lori made fabulous suggestions for my margarita and brought us a tasting of salsa from mild to hot for the freshly made blue corn chips. We also ordered guacamole and esquitos with some pico de gallo to dip the chips in. The chips were fresh and well salted with great flavor on their own, but add some guac and corn dip with them and the flavor is out of this world. I had the Welcome to Miami margarita recommended by our server Lori after I requested something fruity and spicy. It was spot on with flavor and they did not skimp on the alcohol. After the chip appetizer, I had one pork belly taco and my friend ordered the enmoladas de pollo for us to share. I love mole so I was really excited about this dish and it exceeded my expectations. It's hard to find a good mole and this was spot on! My pork belly taco was served in a soft blue corn tortilla with a nice size piece of pork belly, some garnish, and jalapeños. Clearly I was looking for some spice for my night and this was just what I needed. There's a wide selection of tacos on the menu and I would say to try 2-3 if you are getting them as your main course. I would go for one of the enmoladas as my first pick though if you are a mole lover. We sat outside because the weather was pleasant. The location is in a strip mall next to Publix but that didn't detract from the atmosphere. The main restaurant doors were open and the interior had traditional decor. Service, food, and drinks were all top notch. I will definitely return when I'm in the area again. Pardon the pic of the half eaten mole, but we dug right in and I forgot to take a picture!

It was busy when we stopped in at Casa Masa at The Landings for dinner. They have some seating inside and more seating in front and along the side of the restaurant, we opted for a couple of seats outside. Aside from being face to face with another couple who were inside looking out as we were outside looking in, the spot was fine for us. For dinner I decided to try some tacos, their Carne Asada and Pollo. They looked very nice lined up on a tray when they arrived after about 10 minutes. I'm not big on Mexican food so the best tacos in town probably wouldn't excite me, so I'll defer to the other very positive reviews on Yelp. At home I dump a bunch of salsa on the tacos we occasionally have, so without that I thought my tacos were a little dry. The cheeses used, Cotija and Queso fresco, contributed to that feeling. I had looked at their website prior to our visit and they showed a limited menu for this location. What they actually offer is what they offer at their Bee Ridge location, which has more items including burritos.

My boys wanted Mexican, and we decided to try this place based on reviews. Casual spot in a shopping center but the tacos were delicious! The Brussel sprout taco was amazing and the fish not bad either. They also had excellent queso. My three hungry boys were happy. Servers were kind and helpful. All in all a good meal- a bit expensive but that seems to be the area.

Guac and chips and complimentary sauces.

Went during the week for a late lunch and they weren't too busy. The grouper tacos were one of the best, good guac and chips ( no gluten free chips though - shared fryer). Carne Asada tacos were pretty good. Waitresses were helpful and friendly.

There was plenty seating and the area inside was tidy. Lindsey, our waiter, was kind and gave us an overview of the menu and their three sauces. I went for the blue corn tortilla and protein quesadilla. It was great, even though I had never tried blue corn tortillas. It was a pleasant spot to enjoy lunch and cocktails with friends, and the menu was straightforward.

This is the third time I've been here in two weeks. The first 2 times, I was by myself. I have throughly enjoyed it. The service is amazing and the staff are friendly. The decor is upscale and sophisticated. It was clean which is a make or break for me when it comes to any restaurant. The food, compliments to the chef, is to die for. The third time I came, I was with a group of 11 and the service was like, I was myself. This is my new favorite restaurant.

    Oxtail Taco, Pescado Taco

We loved this little local hidden gem! I had an oxtail taco and a pescado taco while my husband had a burrito. Everything came out super hot and fresh and quick! The service was amazing and they weren't too busy so they brought our food right out to us and offered to clean up our table. Even though we ordered at the counter we were treated like a sit down restaurant and it was really nice. We would definitely come back for more!

OMG! I'm still talking about this place that I've been avoiding cuz no reservations. Brussels sprouts appetizer: LOVE! Birria taco:. Duck carnitas: ( but I'd say not as good as birria). Full bar. Great martini. Margarita served with black salt in a skull mug. Clever! Have been avoiding cuz no rez but we got right in. ON SATURDAY NITE!! They were out of pulpo (octopus) so next time. Loved it. We will be back for sure! Burp.

Quesadilla grilled in large blue corn tortilla

What a great find. The Holy Mole Martini was a masterpiece. The very personable bar manager explained how they blend the Mole with vodka. The result was surprisingly smooth hints of Mole Poblano, chocolate, and espresso; easy-drinking and delicious. The mild yellow rice on the side was moist and full of flavor. The Enchiladas with Huitlacoche were perfectly savory and rich. We hadn't found the black corn mushroom, Huitlacoche, on a menu in forever but this was even better than we remembered. The Tlayuda was a Mexican pizza on a large homemade crispy blue corn tortilla with black bean paste, queso Oaxaca, and other toppings. For protein, we added Al Pastor. The slices held like a New York thin crust pizza, making it easy to the three sauces on the salsa tray. The green was a mild avocado cilantro sauce, the medium red, and a lighter but way more fiery red had to be chilis de arbol. The quesadilla was huge and each one was a full meal. My brother in law didn't share any of it though. This is a gourmet authentic Mexican restaurant with a Oaxacan emphasis. With the cutting edge cocktails, foods housemade and fresh, flavors at maximum, this is a must stop whenever we are passing through the area.

Chips and queso. The corn for the tortillas is imported from Mexico!

Service was quick and friendly. Food and drinks are amazing! Best tacos I have had in my life! Had carne asada, birria, and al pastor. Highly recommend

Waited for a table about 20 min- which gave us enough time to get some margaritas. We could sit at the bar- or outside...but we snagged two chairs at the bar. Attendee was friendly and made nice drinks. Food was delish. Chips and salsa were freely given- menu says free with all meals. (Someone posted a complaint about being charged)... Anyhow- we enjoyed our meal. Busy place , but food came quickly and we loved our meals. I had the carne asada- waiter said the steak fajitas is a lot of food and I didn't need too much... I ordered it medium rare... and I would say it came medium well- a "little"pink... but more done than expected...it was still good.. I guess I would order it rare. rice and beans were tasty and also came with pico and tortillas. Chili Rellanos with beef had at least two or theee peppers... and stuffed full of beef- had to take half home. The combo plate also was fab. Tamal, tostado and taquito- yum... had to take some home of this too. Happy to have tried this establishment- and will be back.
