This was an ok stop. My husband and I were wandering the 16th Street Mall, killing time before a theater show. We decided to pop in here for a pre-show margarita. We sat at the bar. The bartender welcomed us and provided menus and water. We both got house margaritas on the rocks. I got salt on mine. The margaritas were ok. The music was quite loud so it was difficult to carry on a conversation sitting next to each other at the bar. The staff was pleasant. The restrooms were clean. It was an ok time.

Casa Tequilas was convenient for us since we were staying at the Marriott and just needed an easy dinner option. Overall, the food lacked a lot of flavor. The chicken quesadillas were just okay--very filling, but soggier than expected. As for the drinks, I can't say much about the cocktails since we ordered beer, which is hard to mess up. Service was good, and the location was perfect for what we needed at the time, so it's hard to say the experience was bad. That said, it didn't really stand out flavor-wise. The ambiance is that of a restaurant with a bar inside. It wasn't ugly or dirty.

Kind of dissatisfied with the food. With any Mexican food restaurant it starts with the chips and salsa. They are store bought and something I can get at any Safeway. I didn't order the margarita but, I was told it was missing something. I had a crispy chili Relleno and it too was ok. Again, something I could get from any food truck. The place was clean and the service was good. I wouldn't come back here for the food but, a beer would be good.

3 Item Combo - Enchilada, Chile Relleno, and Chimichanga with Rice and Beans! Huge!!!

House of Tequilas? Yes please... although I was there for a business lunch so no tequila for me! But they had a case with some good looking bottles. It's like that Mr. Microphone commercial... "Hey good looking... I'll be back for you later" (Google it) I ordered a 3 item dinner platter at lunch and probably should have ordered a lunch combo. This platter was huge... I had a chicken enchilada, chicken chimichanga, and a cheese chili relleno. The chili relleno was one of the best I've ever had. It was packed with cheese and it was delicious. I was stuffed and barely ate the rice and beans. It was well worth the price (I think it was under $20). Good stuff, nothing fancy, just good Mexican food!.

This is a convenient and nice spot (especially the seating next to the street) right on 16th street mall if you're looking for Mexican food that is nice quality and quenches your flavor craving... stop here! I absolutely loved how crunchy my chile relleno was and would order this dish again should I find myself coming back! This is your standard restaurant. Expect to get all of your usual favorite dishes. It's not anything out of the ordinary / stand out, but it does the job in a pinch!

This turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. My husband and I were hungry and found this place inside our hotel. As soon as we entered, a man who I presume to be the bartender got us seating quickly. We were given chips and salsa quickly but had to wait for about 10 - 15 minutes for our waitress. The salsa was delicious but a bit spicy, a water during that time would've been nice. We were moments away from leaving when my husband finally stood up and waved her over. She was apologetic and took our drink orders. I ordered a passionfruit skinny margarita and my husband a regular one. The drinks came out identical. For entrees I ordered 4 beef tacos, fries & one over hard egg. The egg came out over easy. The tacos were okay nothing special, I wish they had cilantro instead of lettuce. These tacos were extra messy. Instead of checking on us to see if we needed napkins she was on her phone texting by the bar. My husband had to again go ask for napkin's. I also needed salt & pepper that my husband had to get. From the food & service we should've just left.

Great place for some fun drinks! We stopped in for a quick drink. Loved our drinks, super tasty! We had some chips and spicy salsa and dessert too. Our bartender was attentive and friendly . It seemed like a cool spot to watch the game or pregame before an event! I'd come back for their drinks!

Overall this place came in handy as a solid later dinner option for my wife and I! We were sat right away as there were only a handful of other customers. Staff was friendly including the bartender who answered our question about a specific tequila bottle we have not seen before that looked unique. The ambiance/vibe overall was a generic run of the mill Mexican/Tequila spot. They did have a very large tequila and in general bar offerings. My wife and I each chose a flavored margarita (peach and blueberry) and they were great with loads of flavor. Food wise they have just about anything you can come to expect from a Mexican restaurant. Complimentary chips and salsa were alright but nothing to rave about. I ended up getting their Queso Birria tacos while my wife chose the carnitas tacos. Both came on one of the largest plates I have seen before loaded with three tacos each and rice and beans. Prices seem reasonable enough. I can only speak to the margs and tacos but they were tasty! I would come back and give it a second try when we return to Denver sometime in the future.

On business travel, didn't want to venture out, came downstairs from hotel room. Didn't expect much! Was very pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent! Ordered a mocktail and ceviche, asked to have a bit of a kick (spicy). Both came out perfectly spiced! They took the time to added minced fresh jalapeños per my requests, the tomatoes and avo were also perfectly chopped! The server also made sure I was happy with it. Indeed I am! Thank you Josue

The new mall is miserable, but this place is equally bad. Stale chips, chewy chicken, wrong orders, weird sauce and slow service. Nothing went right and got one dish off bill luckily. Avoid.

Where do I even begin. Our entire experience was pretty mid. This was across the street from the museum of illusions but honestly, stay hungry and go elsewhere. This was not worth it. First off, when they gave us utensils with the table lap cloth, the lap cloth was dirty with a stain from a dip. Gross. Bad first impression. The chips and dip come out but the chips are not warm like other places I have been. They were cold. We ordered the appetizer plate and the only thing that was good was the guacamole. The quesadilla was bland. Pretty basic. You could've had a better one from qdoba. The birria tacos were super salty and oily. And the saddest part about it all, the wings. We assumed the wings would be tossed and cooked with bbq sauce but it was wings with barbecue sauce on the side poured from the bottle. And then they came over and dropped off two ranch packets. Everything just felt very lazy cooking. There are many shortcuts taken and nothing felt housemade. You would have a better experience at a Taco Bell and it would be a lot cheaper.

We found this Mexican restaurant while walking down 16th St. They were not busy. It was in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. Service was quick and very friendly. It had a nice casual Mexican vibe. The food came quickly and they were able to accommodate many of our vegetarian requests. The salsa was a bit salty, but overall this place was very good. We would return again.

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

Then you are driving the neighborhood hoping to find a spot. Finally parked and walked to the restaurant. Host told me it would be 30 minutes but the actual wait was 50 minutes. Spend so much time parking and then waiting, at what point do you give up and leave empty handed? Restaurant is VERY LOUD. Finally got a table and ordered OFF MENU. Server agreed to substitute shrimp for my enchiladas and they were good! Fresh corn tortillas were the highlight. Ordered tres leches cake and enjoyed it too. Was a nice meal but just not worth all the hassle.

They changed the menu. A lot. No salad with shrimp. 2. For many months, no kids nachos and it was too much to ask for them to melt cheese on chips. Luckily for my daughters sake, they brought those back 3. Weird, non Mexican salads like roasted beet and iceberg wedge 4. Vegetarian items left are mostly just cheese based. Very disappointing! And tonight was the kicker: The kids wanted the rio for Mother's Day but it was a long day and I knew we couldn't go out. Their website stresses that you can order online. I went through the whole order It was very organized Until I tried to pay. It kept saying the amounts had changed and I needed to change a selection but it wouldn't tell me which item and no amount of changing it worked. So I called. I was hung up on after waiting for 5 min I called back and waited longer She took my order but it was tough to get the girl to understand what we wanted. We SLOWLY went through each item, and every item was different than online (e.g. 3 tortillas per order instead of an order of a dozen online). I kept going. We get through my list of things I had ordered. It took 7 min to order for not-so-big family. Then, she repeats the order back to me. She left out HALF of the items we had just gone through! But the total? More than the full order online. I was done! I cancelled my order. I was already hesitant that we would t get the right items since it was so hard to get her to understand. But the higher price with half of the items and less amounts for each one? No thanks! I probably can't get away with avoiding the rip bc my kids still love it, but we used to embrace it and now we look for reasons we can't go. We are actively searching for a replacement that offers good items for the whole family

So, we looked for another. We found two. One was way South in Greenwood Village. We tried it, and it was okay, but not the same. The other one was this one in Westminster. So, we drove up there. We liked it. We like it better than we liked the one that used to be in Lakewood. I've always liked the flavors of Mexican food, but I was never really too hot on what is known as "Tex Mex," until Chuy's. I like the restaurant, I like the decor, and I have come to like the food. I admit I always get the same thing because I am vegetarian, and it is difficult to eat vegetarian in a Mexican restaurant. This place KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK serving beans, and rice that are VEGAN! No lard, no animal products, but all the taste, texture, and loveliness of regular Mexican. Even the corn tortillas are vegetarian. The flour tortillas are not, but they are made FRESH on site. I have found that I have come to love their "Big as yo face" burritos smothered in the Ranchero Sauce. The Ranchero Sauce is a milder sauce, but I like the flavor, and I just bring some of my own Ghost Pepper Powder to sprinkle on, and perk it up to standards! I love that I can eat Mexican rice and beans again and not worry about lard, or chicken broth, but with the SAME EXCELLENT flavor. Chuy's has become the only burrito I actually crave. THANK YOU CHUY'S! By the way, I thought the Lakewood location, (now closed), was pretty good. The Greenwood Village wasn't quite as good. The Westminster location, however, is the best of them all. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I love the food, I love the service, and I love the staff. By the way, their salsa that they serve with their chips is pretty darn good, too. It's spicy, but not too spicy, and I think most people will like it. They also serve a chipotle ranch sauce with the chips that has grown on me. I LIKE THIS PLACE! They also have a reward program where you can get free food, and who doesn't love that?
