I do speak decent French so I'm thinking this is just a general characteristic of the restaurant. We ate outside on the raised and covered terrace, which provided a nice view of the Calvi waterfront and a pleasant breeze.The food itself was excellent.. They're SO grumpy and rude, regardless of how polite you are. Our experience at Le Rendez Vous was the opposite of this. All of the staff was incredible: pro-active, polite, calm and helpful- it was by far our best experience at a restaurant in France. The quality of the staff was complemented by the quality of the food. Some of the best food we had while on our trip. The desserts are very generous. The environment and ambiance of the restaurant also contributed to our excellent experience. From reservation to receipt, our experience was top tier. I could not recommend more!

Aside from the food and household goods you'd expect there are decent DVD, game, and book sections including a small selections of English language books if you ran out of beach reading material. They also have a fair selection of Corsican goods if you find yourself without souvenirs at the end of your vacation. Also a fair selection of electronics needs, including plug converters and the like. All in all very convenient if you're in Calvi for a bit and find yourself missing some basic that a corner market can't quite cover. We came in for picnic supplies after getting some fancier selections at Annie Traiteur in town. Has some automated check out counters as well in case your French is feeling shaky.
