This Chinese restaurant isn't the best food that I've had but for it being far away in Sweden it's pretty good. The service is very good and the place is very nice and clean inside. The hostess/owner(?) is super super nice though, doesn't speak a lick of English. We ordered the egg rolls, fried rice, orange chicken, and cashew chicken - definitely enough for two. The best was the orange chicken! Super delicious and light! The only thing that may make it better is if it was a bit crispier, it was a little soggy, perhaps it's better when you dine in. The fried rice was a close second - soooo good! The cashew chicken could've been skipped, and the egg role order only came with a single egg role! They were speedy! It only took 20 mins from when we called to when it was ready.

The menu features the kind of Chinese dishes you expect from a Chinese restaurant. Probably nothing exceptional, but I also did not miss anything. I noticed that our lovely waitress also brought me a glass of water along with the wine - something I think should be the standard everywhere. Altogether, I had a great dinner at China Sea with very friendly service and good portions of decent food. I will definitely come back when I will be in Varberg again.

The appetisers and desert were beyond words, all I could do was witness the purity of the different flavours as they came out of my pallet at different stages dancing in an entwined rythm and harmony. I could not describe it's genius and perfection, but just br there. Please note that none of my other Yelp reviews have ever said anything of the sort! The people running the restaurant have put in sincere, honest hard work which is delivered with joy and without stress! The love and pride in what they do really comes over. One lady even goes on her haunches down to speak to guests on the sitting level, but does it with dignity and respect. The concept of Swedish food, cooked using traditional Chinese Asian techniques. It is done so well that it is great food. Also despite the trendy concept there are people who are in their senior years as well as a crowd of twenties and thirties. The good quality and thoughtfulness of the food means it has attracted an intelligent, refined, thoughtful, gentle and affable crowd. The good food can be appreciated by all. The vegetarian dishes which are designed to replace the meat ones, do not have the magic and diverse flavours and ingredients of the main ones. The appetisers are remarkable!!!! The home made bread with sauces are perfection. Crayfish with dumpling was fine, but outshone by the rest. The beetroot in teriyaki sauce with fried bits and many other techniques is interesting. The pork is as good as you can get, their 3 hour pressure cooking technique really works! (although as a Brit I did miss the crispy crackling, but that comment is out of place as it is so British) The waiter chose great wines with flavour, depth and superb The decor is harmonious, relaxing and carefully chosen. This is a great restaurant, if you are fortunate enough to be able to afford, this will be an experience of your gastronomic life. At £60 per head including a glass of great wine and champagne, for a 3 hour beautiful meal, this is a gastronomic bargain!

We didn't have a reservation and were told it would be a 40-minute wait. We sat at the bar while we looked for other potential dinner places but luckily 10 minutes later, they were able to give us a table. To start, the Virgin Mango Mojito was delicious! It had a good balance of mango, mint, and lemon flavors. The Amoshi Roll was probably the best thing I had. The Dynamite Shrimps were massive. I think medium-sized shrimp would have done better in the coating and sauce used. The fried coating was a bit thick for me; on top of the jumbo shrimp used, it just didn't come together well. The flavor was otherwise pretty good! XXX. The 14-pc Nigiri Omakase was presented well but the fish wasn't the freshest. For an omakase-style meal, I expect the various fish to melt in your mouth almost. The amount of rice was also excessive so I found myself just eating the fish on top like sashimi. Cute and romantic ambiance, decent sushi quality, and pretty filling overall.
