Views and outdoor seating to stroll around after a meal.

When you enter the Amicalola Falls Lodge the views will take your breath away! Cascades Restaurant is inside the lodge and has beautiful natural wood decor, floor to ceiling glass windows so the mountains are on display! We even saw large hawks soaring while we had a healthy lunch! The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had hiked so we were casually dressed at lunch but that was okay. A black bean avocado burger with fries was enough for 2 people. You can actually choose any side item available so I also added a bowl of the best creamy grits! Every meal is a large portion so you won't leave hungry! It's truly the best way to spend an afternoon! There is a large deck you can step outside an be in awe of the natural mountain landscape and see for miles! The restaurant has a full bar and we loved our waiter Andy! He was personable, friendly and made a great impression for our first visit to the restaurant! I told him my top 3 drink choices and asked him to choose my drink and surprise me. They all sounded soo good! The wildflower spritzer was a refreshing treat!

    Driving up the mountain.

All the servers we had were great. Special shout out to Cameryn for her sweet southern charm and willingness to stay a little late to serve us. Although the view was foggy, we enjoyed ourselves. P.S. the Shrimp and Grits are wonderful!

Only real food you can get in the park and it's worth it. Great views and a nice, though small, buffet selection

This used to be called the Ellijay CoffeeHouse House, but is now Mountain Town Coffee at Hemlock Bazaar (hopefully Yelp will accept my edits), and it has a great vibe. There's a back entrance and courtyard which we came through. The decoration is wacky- I don't know how else to describe it. It's old school and nostalgic but strange. On the other side of the wall there's an entire book store that is part of the business. It had one of the most impressive collections I've seen in a bookstore in awhile. It wasn't huge but it had a great variety of genres, and a lot of intriguing titles I hadn't heard of but sought to remember for later. The man working the register was a charm- he told us how Ellijay has their own tv production (which they were playing on an old school tv), a special Bigfoot podcast and more. Lastly, the coffee was, of course, delightful. I had a latte with a little bit of spice in it that was perfect to warm a person up in the cool early spring air when we were there. Had we known this would be such a cool stop I think we would have bargained even more time to just hang and enjoy the atmosphere. I think it could be a good place to sit and do work or read and there's lots of spaces to sit so it's not too loud.

The coffee... even without real cream, it was delicious. The corned beef hash was unique in that it was cooked with small chunks of onion a top a bed of breakfast potatoes. It was really tasty and not too salty. My eggs were extra large and cooked to my liking. My husband liked the cheesesteak with amazing wedge cut potatoes. He would get it again. My teenager got the pork chop and eggs. She doesn't like pork and therefore doesn't eat it so I'm not even going to try to write anything about it other than it looked thin but good. The service was great- she brought refills when needed and checked on us frequently. We'll come back to because I really want to try the Vietnamese coffee and there are definitely other intriguing menu items. Our only complaint is the parking situation has gotten worse in downtown Ellijay so if the weather is at questionable, we may not make the long trip from Pickens County.

Our server Lilly (cute Elf) was awesome and attentive, even though the restaurant was busy! The hostess seated us promptly, by the nice fireplace and graciously took our photo. The prices were okay, and we would definitely come back again! Merry Christmas

After having coffee all around this place, I can confidently say that Mountain Mama's Coffee is doing it the right way. As a former roaster, I can appreciate the small things like how they worked the bar during a rush, the customer service of the staff, and attention to detail by the baristas to ensure every shot was pulled, milk steamed perfectly, and providing quality coffee. This hands down is the best coffee shop in this area. I had a cup of drip coffee which was a blend of Peru and Brazilian coffee beans. It was nice to finally be able to enjoy a black cup of coffee on this trip. I also had a cheese danish and a Morning bun which were both tasty and satisfying. The environment was very cool! Loved the decor and it was a nice size space that used every corner they could without it compromising the aesthetic. Sad I didn't get to Mountain Mama's earlier on this trip but I know from here on out it will be the only coffee shop I come to.
