So weird that one reviewer complained they could hear everything through the walls --my favorite…read morething about this place is how quiet it is; can't hear any neighbors. Do be careful about renting any apartment whose bedroom windows overlook the trash/recycling area. That glass recycling truck makes one hell of a shattering crash. I'm a deep sleeper and learned to sleep through it but it terrified my cat at first--and I'm on the 3rd floor! You'll also get the terrific BOOMS of anyone throwing things away at midnight. This trash noise item is true for any apartment complex and it didn't factor into my review here. Maintenance is friendly and very quick to respond. You can request them online as well as pay utilities and rent online. Larger packages are collected by the front office which is nice; they're open from 8 to 5. There's a small gym and a pool. Happy hour/social events in the main lounge during the summer. I feel it's quite pricey for Beaverton but it's also walking distance to Max and so very safe, even at 2am it's well lit and i feel fine walking home. Do not be late w/ payments, utility late fee is $30 and late rent is $100, and breaking the lease will run you a few thousand. My building has an elevator!! I thought that was no big deal but a desk, bookshelf, couch and armchair later, all I can say is THANK GOD for these extra wide elevators. People tend to care about the neighborhood and you don't see dog poop lying around or trash or anything like that. We're also very near to the lovely Tualatin Hills nature park--a tree lined paved path area perfect for hikes or runs. Due to work commute I plan to move out soon. Deposit was one month's rent and then add $300 pet deposit and they have quite a lot of my money; my apartment is in fantastic condition so if they unfairly deduct from that fund I'll be back here to let you know. : O However I don't expect that, because the management is prompt, friendly and understanding. 12/8/17--I had forgotten previously to add, the only fee that was deducted from my deposit when I left was a $75 cleaning fee. My place was super clean but they always have them cleaned professionally so I knew a fee was coming.

I was looking for a Studio apartments, and I found Element 170 seems ideal to me because its…read morelocation is nearby MAX station and its rent price is right for me at the time. I contacted the leasing office and scheduled a tour. When I arrived the leasing office on time, the leasing office staff was not aware of the tour schedule and asked me what am I looking for. I told her I am looking a Studio apartment. She said: "Oh, we don't have the apartment you are looking for", and that's it. I was like "What?! We have a confirmed apartment tour scheduled" I arrived on time without delay. This is what I got? Fine, then I went home. Few days later, Element 170 sent me an email and asked me how was the tour? I was like "What the heck? What's the problem with this management team". But I really like to live nearby the MAX station, it would be convenient for me to go to Portland Airport without taking Uber or cab. So, I decided to give them another chance and scheduled another Studio tour after Element 170 staff promised me they will be waiting for my arrival. And indeed, the staff gave me a tour. We visited a renovated Studio room and a one-bedroom. The Studio room does not have an assigned parking lot. Everything looked as I expected. So, I decided to apply online in Element 170's website. I created an account on their website and started my application process. However, it was middle of June, and my planned moving date is middle of July or early July if necessary. The Studio rooms that I am targeting were still not enabled for the July move-in date. Therefore, my application was in progress and not completed. In the following 1-2 weeks, I kept log in to Element 170's website to check if the Studio rooms I am targeting were still available or had been taken. Suddenly, one. day near the end of June (Jun 2x). My Element 170 login page turned into an Error message. I can no longer login to my account. I thought the website may have some technical issue and left some messages with their online contact. Element 170 replied a robot email saying they received my message and will take care of it. Then there is no follow-up. I still cannot login to their website and cannot register an account with my email address. I checked the Element 170 website as anonymous, the Studio rooms I am targeting are still available, but I could not apply for it. I think I have been banned by the Element 170 website andministor. I cannot think of I have done anything wrong. They just banned me without any reason and no response anymore. Now I have applied to another Apartment Property and they happily accepted my application. Apparently, it is not that I have any problem as an applicant. My credit score is 850, I have a high paying job. I could not think of any reason Element 170 would ban me. But I don't care anymore, and thank God I am not their tenant yet. I could not imagine how could I deal with an administration like Element 170.

If I could give The Jones zero stars, I would. This complex engages in predatory billing practices…read moreand will outright lie to steal your money upon move out. I lived here for two years with no pets and no small children, and left the apartment spotless with full photo evidence. Despite this, they sent me a move-out bill for over $1,000, claiming over $900 of it was for "heavy pet urine contamination." When I reminded them I have never owned an animal, the office manager, Jordan, had the audacity to lie and claim it must be "sweat." Absolute incompetence and a joke of an excuse to justify a scam. After going back and forth, we reached a formal agreement: I paid $500 to settle the account. Management sent me written confirmation via email that my balance was ZERO. Less than a year later, they turned around and forwarded a collection agency (National Credit Systems) after me for $1,295.16, tanking my credit score by over 100 points. They took my settlement money and still sent the full, fraudulent balance to collections. They lack any shred of integrity. Document absolutely EVERYTHING. Take photos, videos, and get every single word in writing, because Jordan and the rest of the office staff are incompetent, REMEDIAL, deceptive, and predatory. Avoid this place at all costs.

Shortly after we moved in we began dealing with hundreds of ants coming into our apartment causing me to have to deep clean just about everyday when I get home from work cause ants come out of the unsealed cracks where the walls meet the floor. They must have an ant infestation or something going on in the walls but definitely should have been mentioned prior to us moving in because we would've gone elsewhere, to top everything off this apartment complex has COCKROACHES which I found out by turning on the closet light and theres a roach in the light. Our dishwasher and washing machine gave off a horrible smell the first few weeks of us moving in and there's mold around the light fixtures and wouldn't be surprised if there's mold elsewhere. This place is NOT well maintained and honestly needs to be shut down it's disgusting and we will moving out as soon as our lease is up and make sure to spread the word publicly that this complex is disgusting and to not move in here. This is by far the best apartment we lived in during our time in Hillsboro! Creekside did a wonderful job of making us feel like we were tucked away out of the city, even though Cornell road was right next to us. The Rock Creek Nature Trail running behind us was a huge plus. We loved walking it and watching the changing scenery as the seasons progressed. Jennifer and Grace, in the office, are incredible! We were so blown away the first time they called us by name. Nobody else at previous residences had ever made the effort to do that before! These ladies really care, and we were sad to say goodbye to them! Adam and his crew were always excellent at taking care of any maintenance requests we had ASAP. It was so nice to know we wouldn't ever have to wait weeks to get things resolved! And now for the apartment itself. We really loved the layout of this home. We lived in a 2 bed 2 bath. By far one of my favorite parts was the balcony overlooking the green space. Gorgeous and so peaceful! Second to that was my kitchen. I spend a lot of my time in the kitchen, so it's important to have a well-planned space. ;) I loved the large amount of counter space, lots of cabinets and drawers, and overall open feel that it offered. The bedrooms were laid out nicely, as well. The master was just off the living room, (but you could close the door if you didn't want people looking in!) and the guest room was at the other end of the apartment by the guest bathroom. Works out very well for having people come and stay over. Everybody gets their privacy! :) We were lucky enough to have the top floor, so we also got a vaulted ceiling in our living room. Being a couple of tall folks, we really loved how un-claustrophobic it felt! ;) We were told when we moved in that most people stay at Creekside for years, and really only leave if they are moving into a house. While our situation was slightly different, I definitely believe we would have stayed there for years otherwise! What a wonderful place to call home

Paid for parking the entire time and people still parked in my spot or blocked me in like it was free-for-all. Management? Useless. They never did anything about it, and yes--it's illegal, but apparently that means nothing here especially as the one time someone actually got towed, it wasn't because management did their job--it was because a resident finally got fed up and called the tow truck themselves. I saw it. Maintenance is slow. Don't hold your breath if something breaks. The policy as of recently states to perform maintenance yourself before contacting management which means you'll probably fix it yourself before they show up which isn't convenient at all especially if you don't have the tools or permission. The security here is another thing, the cameras? must be for decoration. People come and go like a public sidewalk so I don't understand what they're there for especially since there's no gate, no checks, nothing. Anyone can walk in. Consider other options before relocating here. Other spots nearby have more for less--which doesn't make this a good option in the first place Not worth it really unless you have specific dog breeds or is the closest place from work, 4/10
