So where to start? I went in simply looking around to see if they had anything cheap and nice on sale. I found their video game rack and decided to check it out. Took me a total of 5 minutes through the clearance games and go up to the counters. And then everything went south. 1) Another associate/manager from another store came in and started chatting with the ONLY front desk lady in sight. They went over to an aisle far from the front door and just started talking about...well everything but business from what I heard. How such and such is. What they're doing later. Favorite drinks. Significant others. I honestly sat there standing at the front desk for at least 10-15 minutes watching them look over and me looking at them. Honestly I felt like I should have just put the money on the counter and left. 2) When the ASS. manager (I'll just refer to her as ASS. for the rest of the review) finally showed up, she said nothing to her employee and seemed annoyed that I was even buying things. Throughout this whole ordeal (trying to be calm) I, being a reseller, informed them that they had pc games stashed throughout the bin (which once the authorized 1/2 the time you can't use them anymore) as well as there video game prices are STUPIDLY expensive (full retail on almost everything) and that you'd get bad business selling unusable games and charging to much. To which the ASS replied "We base our prices off GameStop and we seem to sell them just fine." Now let me retort as I wanted to leave your store much sooner than later. If you're having a giant clearance rack, you're not selling them just fine. You're not selling them at all. That's what clearance means. You know where I'm going to buy a full retail game with a price based off GameStop? Either GameStop or Amazon. Not some pawn shop. People go there for deals. Not to buy some scratched up version of rock band 4 that you just threw out on the floor for $25. Hell GameStop rips you off. 3) I said earlier I grabbed some stuff from the clearance rack. 4 games and 2 Playstation eye toy things. All together $8 so not really great price but not breaking the bank so I just grabbed those and walked on out. Upon looking at my receipt however, I noticed that a game worth $0.25 cost me $1.50. Again not principal of money but that's...a big margin of worry. I understand that this is a small percentage of their sales but the general disregards towards caring makes me worry: do they know how to check game systems they sell? What quality are the electronics in? I do this type of stuff for a living and buy small before big to test out a place. I was only here for maybe 30 minutes and that was 25 minutes too long. They need better employees. Or at least better floor employees. I hope I can avoid coming here again. "I had a really bad experience with Cash America Pawn. I sent my friend in to sell a vacuum worth $250, and all I wanted was at least $50 for it, which I thought was more than fair. Somehow, she ended up coming back with only $15! That's outrageous and feels like a total rip-off. It's ridiculous that they would offer so little for something of real value.
