Cash Converters on Yorkshire Street in Oldham is one of the many trade-in / payday loans sort of…read moreshops in Oldham town centre, which also includes Cash Generator across the way and the slightly more central CeX in the Spindells Town Centre shopping mall, there also are a few similar smaller, independent shops such as NJ Mobiles specialising in mobiles. Inside, this store wasn't really nice and felt like a jumble sale in a way, it even had a slightly nasty smell to it. The service was really poor and impersonal, she felt really reluctant to say anything and she felt held back, it felt robotic for example when I asked about trading in a HP Sprocket printer and she said they don't take printers just by saying "No" which was a shame. Very frustrating! I understand that this is probably company policy that they can't take these devices, whether they are new or not however the way she dealt with the situation was a real shame. Oldham has a large amount of similar shops to this, and sadly with a slightly poorer overall feel including the smells of the store, service and overall product range, I sadly feel this store deserves a single one star rating.
