In holidays and weekends there is a room upstairs with staff that help kids make craft things. The museum has no cafe but there are a few near by. The museum is not to far from a carpark or the town liberary.

Definitely worth spending a couple hours, especially if you enjoy photography. The exhibit was not only informative about her photography and life, but triggered thoughts about reflecting on my own photography. The gallery also has a small coffee shop and gift shop inside which can add to your experience. Definitely a wonderful place to visit.

I've seen many interesting and unusual exhibitions there and despite the small size of the building they manage to cram a lot in. Oh and it's often refered to just as MKG. Snappy.

Amazing small festival near Market Harborough. They don't give out the address so I can't be…read morespecific about where it is but be sure to look it up. A bit like Glastonbury only on a tiny scale. I reckon there was about 5000 people there, it was only £90 and everything is a lot lot easier than Glastonbury. The weather was beautiful which obviously helped but would have been good anywhere and there were loads of tents where you could shelter. There was a good selection of smaller artists, good DJ's and other acts. There was a massive 'Rio style' carnival Saturday night which paraded around the campsite and everyone got dressed up. I will definitely go back. 100% next year and think you should go too!

There is a good variety of walks through some great countryside and trails, we only did one of the short ones. West Lodge put on a variety of activities throughout the day including cow-milking, pony grooming, pet the rabbits and ferret racing! You can also take a barrel ride on the back of a tractor every hour, if you can squeeze into the barrels. There are tractor rides round the whole farm which is something well worth doing, though it is about £1 each extra I think. We went on a coldish day that was slightly overcast and there was plenty to do indoors, including a nice not too expensive cafe, an indoor play area for littler children, a painting activity, animal petting etc etc. They also have ride on tractors which they told us would be going under a barn roof so they are suitable year round. The childrens play area was very good with lots of sand and buckets and spades, and some good equipment. If eating in the cafe is not your bag, then we were impressed with the choice of places to picnic, and of course vast open fields too! One of the picnicking areas is next to a small copse with denmaking stuff in, which our children enjoyed. The farm was not massive, it was a really nice friendly size, and not too packed either. We had a lovely, relaxed visit and all enjoyed it loads. A shame you have to exit through the gift shop, but it was reasonably priced stuff and everywhere seems to do this now. We paid £16 for a family ticket, though an annual pass is only £80 and we will seriously consider this in the future.

They have an outside playground and tractor park as well as a barrel train. Then you can go and feed an assortment of animals. And then there is a little cafe with an inside playground which is great. They serve food as well as an assortment of cakes and biscuits. Then we had lunch on their restaurant which was great with a varied menu. And afterwards ice cream at their ice cream space. Also when you enter and exit there is a toy shop which your kids will love which also sells useful items like wellies if you come on a day that rains. A great spot: we will definitely return!

The guides were very eager to share their knowledge, in fact perhaps a bit too free with the detailed facts, but all of them were very pleasant and helpful. The house is set in some nice grounds and there are formal gardens to explore as well. The cafe serves very good cream teas although they could have offered better quality jam than commercial catering packs. Overall a good experience. One warning though, they do not take credit cards on admission so you need to carry cash.

A frequent haunt of American travellers, for obvious reasons; the manor boasts an excellent herb garden, which is well worth a visit, and hosts fantastic special days known as 'living history' days, which are great for children, as there is lots of dressing up involved and interesting food and fun games. The fabulous old building was built during Shakesperian times and is a good example of a modest housing and garden abode. The gift shop is extensive and the cafe has a good selection of food and refreshments. The village of Sulgrave itself is beautiful, and a fine example of Northamptonshire country-style. There is a lovely village shop, run only by the community and volunteers! unusual in these times! The village pub is good too, with the same good service and quality. All round, a great day out for the family, but compact enough also for a quick drop in visit. Highly Recommended.
