She not only has nice items, but very affordable items, too. That is a rare combination to find nowadays. The owner is also very nice. I didn't need help with anything, but I watched her interact with other customers. There were a group of children there and she was very patient and generous with them. She helped them pick out the right tarot cards and stones. I don't see a lot of people who help out younger patrons (because they're less likely to buy) so I think it's cool she spent so much time with them. And yes, they did purchase several items. :) The downside was that I had to use the bathroom as a dressing room. It wasn't cramped though. There was a mirror and a place to set my clothes so they wouldn't have to touch the ground. I think they're currently setting up a dressing room, so this won't be a problem much longer. Still, this place made the trip worthwhile and I enjoyed a nice hot chocolate (and complimentary Halloween-themed shortbread cookie!). The barista was pleasant and answered our questions about the environs. We only checked out the bookstore section briefly though it did have an excellent selection, and even had a typewriter set up for aspiring typists to play around with. As a typewriter owner, it's always cool to see opportunities for the next generation to get a chance to work with these machines (if only so they can appreciate how much easier word processors are when it comes to editing!)
