It took me a really long time to sit down and write this review, as I have very mixed feelings…read moreabout my experience at little excellence. I didn't want to write it while the wound was fresh and I was still upset about what happened. Little excellence was my 2 year old daughters first school experience and she was going full time 3 days a week, with an extra hour of care in the morning. Everything went swimmingly in the beginning and she loved going there. November hit and the honeymoon was over. I got a call that my daughters face got scratched and that there was a mark on her face over a fight over a toy and that as a response my daughter put her mouth on the child as if she was going to bite him but did not leave any marks (as per the phone call message I received). This was our "first warning that she could be "kicked out". I did my part and printed books for both school and home on why we can't bite, as the school asked me to come up with a plan for her. I gave them strategies via email and in person on how to better help her especially before she gets frustrated. There was a second incident, where no one was able to tell me what exactly happened as it was during diaper changing time and there "was not enough staff to watch all the kids at that time". I was told my child had to leave the school as per their policy which I had no problem complying with, but when I asked to see the video so I could see what was happening so I could better help and see what was occurring before the incident, I never received a response. This cut me to my core as it was right before Christmas and my daughter had no idea she was about to be ripped from the only school she's ever known leaving us in a position to scramble for a school. Her last day was the Christmas party where the staff talked about how sweet my daughter was and how sad they were to see her leave, but it was difficult for me to hear as it was not our choice to leave. I do not dispute the school policy and them following the policy what I did not like was how it was handled. No one offered to help her work through this very normal unfortunate toddler behavior. No one allowed me to see how, when or why it was occurring via video. Needless to say we found a great school for our daughter and she is thriving there so much we increased her to 5 full days. Overall I feel like the school has very young teachers who need the time and experience to gain knowledge on how to intervene and teach students rather than resorting to expulsion. I am sticking with 3 stars because my daughter really did love going here and she always had a great time, in morning care she had no issues. Although the teachers were young they still need some more experiences to help them better intervene with toddlers in the future. This wasn't the school for us, but maybe it will be for others.

My child gets excited when we pull up in front of the facility, and lights up when it's time to go in. Virginia works hard and handling lots of children can be very overwhelming. The kids that are there, love her and the other staff. My child is special needs and Virginia has been incredibly accommodating since day 1. My child has gotten sick 1 time and it was when she first started there (that's to be expected). The staff work very hard to maintain the cleanliness inside the facility as well as maintain the safety and wellbeing of the children. I've spoken to other parents and they love it as well. If you're looking for a large facility that's over priced with fancy things, this isn't it. If you're looking for a small, cared for, personal childcare center, this is it. I'll always recommend them. 10/10 from me.

Of all the centers my wife and I researched this is by far the best one. Our child just started…read moregoing here (our first child so there's apprehension) and so far RHCC has been absolutely professional, friendly and accommodating. When we took the tour one of the owners walked with us for over an hour and was very thorough and detailed about every aspect of the place. He was very transparent and explained everything exhaustively, I like that. RHCC has a large backyard with playsets, swings, slides, etc. Patient and knowledgeable teachers, the whole place is monitored with cameras, you have to get through two doors (that can only be buzzed open) and the teachers/aides go through a background check. I like security like any parent so this made me feel comfortable. They're flexible on their hours and if your kid isn't potty trained yet they change on premises (if you're comfortable with that.) Plus the thing that sold me the most on the place was the children themselves seemed legitimately happy while they were playing, etc. so that clued me in it wasn't a big act. We'll be taking our child back.

In the 3 months that he's been in daycare, he has progressed so much--he knows how to color, dance, interact with other kids, and, in general, be more independent. Before daycare, my son would sleep through the day keep us up most of the night. Being working parents, this was very hard. Because of Ikhlas, my son now has a routine for nap times, meal times, snack times, and bed time. I cannot emphasize how much easier life is now that he has a routine! Another reason why I am very happy with this daycare is because my son has a lot of food allergies. Ikhlas always makes sure that my son doesn't put anything into his mouth that would trigger an allergy. Ikhlas is very caring. It makes me so happy when she sends me pictures of my son playing with the other kids and looking so happy. My husband and I trust her so much that we are planning to put our second baby in her care at 8 weeks. We know that she will take care of our second baby as excellently as she takes care of our son and all the other kids in her daycare.

There are two locations; my daughter was at the 115 E 31st Street site, and Ms. Tanya is the on-site operator there. When I called the owner, Marie Bellevue, I felt so comforted, and that she was a kind and caring person. Then I met Ms. Tanya, and immediately felt the love in the daycare. I saw how Ms. Tanya held and nurtured the children, that they were happy and at ease with her and each other, how they embraced and welcomed my daughter who was just visiting without any prompting or encouragement and knew that my daughter would thrive there (the place is also clean and organized, etc.). I too, felt at ease, heard, and respected by Ms. Tanya. My daughter started a few days before she turned 22 months old, rate was $200 per week, they accept payments through Zelle and CashApp, the hours are from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, parents provided food (daycare provides water and juice), diapers/Pull-Ups, wipes, crib sheet and blanket for their children. Parents can leave their children's strollers, baby carriers and small scooters (and I imagine tricycles/small bikes) there. The entire house is dedicated to the daycare, and the daycare is monitored inside and outside with working security cameras. Ms. Tanya delights in the children and takes excellent care of them. She did not attempt to gaslight me into tolerating mistreatment and neglect of my child because "things happen in daycare" and "it's daycare, not babysitting or nanny service". At all times I picked up my daughter, she was clean, her clothes, hair and accessories were intact, she was happy to see me and loved her teacher, she was fed and not ravenous when she returned home and was excited to show me what she learned. When my daughter left, Ms. Tanya was teaching the children Spanish. My Shepherd Daycare is a comforting, nurturing, educational, and safe environment for young children to learn and have fun. I cannot thank Marie Bellevue and Ms. Tanya enough for their empathy, loving care, kindness, consideration, and the invaluable peace of mind they provided my child and me. While I was at work, my mind was at ease because I knew that my daughter was in a safe place, learning and having fun with her peers. If this daycare opened at 7:00 am my daughter would still be there; my daughter had to leave only because a change in my work schedule required that I find a daycare with an earlier start time. We love this daycare so much; I highly recommend My Shepherd Group Family Daycare to everyone I know who is searching for childcare.

I have three kids so I definitely have experience with many schools in the neighborhood. Once I found out they were opening a school last year I was the first person to sign up my little one. They work amazingly together, take the time to give personal attention to each child, encouraging out of the box thinking and focus on every aspect of your child, not just academic which they are great with but behavior, talking about feelings, and getting over fears. Most importantly not only does my daughter love school and love them but my son who graduated their class 3 years ago still goes by to see them and wishes he was in their class again. I bring them to Little Bridge to experience "best practice" in a high-quality home environment. Two of my graduate students and I had a delightful visit to Little Bridge this morning. When we arrived, the children were beginning their dramatic play, and play with manipulative materials. The children were "going to the beach," working with small vehicles, and working with manipulative materials. All twelve children were actively engaged in meaningful activity: planning, negotiating, solving conflicts with the help and support of the two teachers, Stefania and Jessica. After "clean-up," the children joyfully danced and did movement exercises to music, and then washed their hands and had a convivial lunch. Throughout our visit, the children were happy, busy, and confident. It was very apparent that they felt safe and secure. Stefania and Jessica are both experienced teachers with a profound understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate curriculum, and a deep respect for young children. They have provided an environment where children can create, express themselves, learn to work with others, and thrive in all domains--cognitive, social, emotional, and physical. Bay Ridge families are fortunate to have this high-quality program available to them.

My kids loved going to "school" every morning and never gave me a hard time at drop off. I think it was all the love the staff gave my kids. Ali and Hasene, owners and directors, are so accommodating and always were just so great with everything. They take kids out to the park every chance they get and they make sure to celebrate each kids birthday. I thank Giggles for everything and couldn't go back to work as peacefully as I did if it wasn't for them.

Stepping Stones is a wonderful school- they keep us im contact and communicate with us very often. Every month we are sent a calendar letting us know what our children are learning each week. On top of that the teacher sends home a daily report of skills worked on. At the end of the month we also get an email as a follow up. Miss Krista and Miss Vicky are exceptional teachers and work very hard. Before my daughter started she hardly talked- she is now 2.5 and says full sentences. She sings at home all day too. She has learned so much , emotionally and physically as well. I know she is well loved and taken care of in Miss Krista and Miss Vicky's care.

Once we saw how she interacted with him, our nerves subsided almost immediately. She read books, played with him, and sent us updates throughout the day unprompted. I'm surprised to read that another reviewer had a hard time getting in touch with them because our communication was always timely. We never had a problem getting any questions answered or our concerns addressed. If you are looking for a caregiver service that also has a tremendous social impact, look no further. We are sad to leave as our child transitions to 3-K and are grateful for the time spent there.
