Caswell Bay is the nearest of the Gower beaches to Swansea, and a wonderful place to come throughout the year!
In the summer months its obvious attractions are its marvellous golden sands, clear sea, and numerous rock pools in which to explore.
When lying on the beach is not an option, its a perfect choice for a walk, as not only do you have the pleasure of walking along an often deserted beach, but also the beauty of the limestone cliffs dotted with yellow gorse to enjoy.
In terms of accessibility Caswell is ideal as it has a large carpet stretching inland, complete with public toilets which are for the most part kept clean and tidy. There are also a number of stalls selling ice creams, beach toys etc... as well as a small cafe.
The bay gets excellent surf, so is always popular with surfers, and is patrolled during the peak summer season by life guards. read more
