Caswell Bay is the nearest of the Gower beaches to Swansea, and a wonderful place to come throughout the year! In the summer months its obvious attractions are its marvellous golden sands, clear sea, and numerous rock pools in which to explore. When lying on the beach is not an option, its a perfect choice for a walk, as not only do you have the pleasure of walking along an often deserted beach, but also the beauty of the limestone cliffs dotted with yellow gorse to enjoy. In terms of accessibility Caswell is ideal as it has a large carpet stretching inland, complete with public toilets which are for the most part kept clean and tidy. There are also a number of stalls selling ice creams, beach toys etc... as well as a small cafe. A pleasant beach popular with surfers and swimmers with soft golden sand and good access. There is a beach shop, snack bar and nice cafe right beside the beach and a car park (pay and display) just across the road. You can walk around the cliffs from here back to Langland Bay though the rocky, uneven path may not be suitable for everyone. read more

Langland's sister beach Caswell is a little bit further around the coast but well worth a visit. You'll find a car park across the road. there is a cafe and some shops selling beach bits. You can walk along the coastal path to Langland. Although it's not great if you have mobility problems or young children. However if you can get up there and walk the path you are in for an absolute treat. Like Langland, Caswell can get really busy on a hot day, the roads are quite narrow and it can be a bit of an ordeal parking the car. read more
