Mindful Behavioral Healthcare is WONDERFUL. From scheduling through to reception, then off to the…read moretechs, nurses and doctors (psychiatry and therapy), there in a class of their own. A high quality, extremely knowledgeable, deeply caring and compassionate, listening and putting the needs of their patients first, with top notch expertise are but a few words I would use to describe the excellence of care.
I've read reviews complaining about phones or office wait times, and sure... those were (might still be) a bit arduous, but by no fault of the office, medical or administrative. The truth is, they're a private service offering an innumerable amount of patients help... they turn no one away, so of course there were/are longer hold times at times or wait times while there. The doctors never, and I've seen many over the years, push you out of their office, even once your time's up - they care, listen and give you the time you need (to a point, they can't go over by too much with a full office waiting). With doctors and staff that care as much as they do, and with the huge amount of patients that they see, it's to be expected that the phones or wait times in the office might be a little backed up. In fact, they opened a 2nd office and have a call center dedicated to the phones in an effort to resolve most of the phone holding and they've done a GREAT job at that.
Upon first becoming a patient in their Kissimmee office a handful of years ago, I was met by Sulene (Sue or Zue as I call her). She had the biggest and brightest smile on her face and helped me through the entire process of signing up as a new patient. From that first day through to the current time and the many positions she's held there, she's always gone out of her way, stopping what she's doing at times, to help me with anything I need. She knows almost every aspect of the administrative process and then some and she won't hesitate to help, and help with a smile. Then there was her cousin "MO" - I don't know her actual name, just her nickname... I don't believe she's still there, I could be wrong, but she too always welcomed me with a smile and warm and friendly welcome. "Zue" -- we laugh when I call her that - is like a shining bright ray of sun. Warm and welcoming and always willing to help at any cost, she'll get it done!
Each tech and/or nurse (too many to list, and some names I don't recall) has always laughed with me, listened and cared about me - always going out of their way to make me feel comfortable, calm and heard - I've always felt like a priority when going in - wait times or not.
Ashley, someone who used to work in scheduling (phones), was the most helpful person ever. She was so knowledgeable and helpful, always doing her best to fit me in even if there's no room to fit, as well as get me to see the Dr. of my choice (when able, if able). She was so kind, friendly and felt like family when speaking to her and I'm sure many feel the same way, because she was promoted to the Supervisor of that department and it was a WELL DESERVED promotion!
The Office Manager is AMAZING. Anytime I've had even the smallest concern or request, she's worked with me personally to resolve it. Always on top of things, able to resolve anything swiftly, always making things work, and work well.
For Therapy, I've only seen Deborah Rivera, and there's no one more compassionate, caring, truly involved, professional and comforting than she is. She goes above and beyond, a case load (patients) so large that I don't know how she does it without her head spinning, but she does, and she does it with great expertise and extreme warmth and commitment to her patient's care. Deborah got me through the worst of times, listening, caring, guiding me and more. She made a huge difference in my life.
For Psych, I began years ago with Linda, no longer there, who genuinely felt like a mother or aunt. She was professional and knowledgeable, but also incredibly personal and warm, it was wonderful seeing her. Unfortunately, she moved and left quite some time ago. I then began seeing Dr. Melendez who I can't rave enough about. Such a soft, compassionate, welcoming, kind doctor, who not only knows how to help, but does so in the most soothing way and always goes the extra mile. Dr. Melendez stopped taking my insurance, but I highly recommend him to anyone he can see. I then began to see Dr. Gonzalez (RIP). My gosh yet another Dr. who far exceeded the bar. Very sadly, Dr. Gonzalez passed in 2020 and will be remembered by many, myself included. Due to his sudden passing, and without another Psych lined up for me yet, the Founder & CEO, Dr. Charneco saw me personally. What a lovely Dr. with a literal plethora of knowledge and specialized care behind her countless years in medicine. Even though it was an extremely upsetting day (losing Dr. Gonzalez), Dr. Charneco made me feel like a priority. She's Amazing!
Mindful Behavioral is Wonderful! I highly recommend them!
