The music that was played reminded me of three radio stations back in Massachusetts combined. Good variety of tunes, a lot of repeat artists though in the short time of listening; Ozzy, Nirvana, Rob Zombie, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Metallica, and Tool to name a few. The third thing is they are all great to dance to. Oldies is a style of music that can still be found today, only woven in with other music on non-oldie stations. Most modern music misses some or all of this that makes music truly rock. I would rename a station that played a mix of oldies and newbies that fit the rules of rock music. To maybe Mixed Classic Rock, if they also played some modern music that fits the rules of the old stuff, like ABBA, U2 and others that fit the three rules. 1. understand the story the song is playing, 2. Understand the words the singers are singing, 3. the song needs a great dancing beat.
