Students have numerous opportunities to take Honors, AP, and college level classes. SCS students' SAT and ACT test averages are above national, state, and local averages. My director was given the opportunity to lease to own the center Countryside Childcare until January when it would be in her name, about 6 teachers came with her to countryside to work and help to get it back up to state code... and we all enrolled our children as well. Friday, the old owner Terry Starnes who has been cited by state before for spanking children... decided to back out of the deal and not sell. She then proceeded to call the director "stupid" in front of state, taking her keys back and making the decision to make the director pack up all her things and not return on Monday. It didn't stop there, she then proceeded to FIRE every teacher that came over with the director to countryside without explanation saying we had been replaced and our services were no longer needed. She then told staff that we could pick up our children's files on Monday meaning they were kicked out as well... We tried to bring Countryside back because it had a horrible reputation before, but now it is out of our hands. Be VERY aware if your child is going here or you are thinking about putting your child here. Read the reviews, look at the state citations... BE AWARE who watches your child

I decided to put my 1 year old here because it was the closest to my house and because everything checked out. My daughter was picked up by my husband. When he arrived the front door it was wide open. He was NOT ask to sign in or sign out. He was NOT asked for his ID or even check my daughters paperwork to see if he was put down as a person to pick her up. They just gave the baby to him no questions asked. They had never met him, so how did they know that he wasn't a stranger. Security is a big issue for me, and the fact that they do not have it or willing to just give up your kid to anyone is a big NO!. Also when she was picked up she was soaked from head to toe from playing outside after it had just rained. They didn't care to change her clothes that was in her diaper bag. My daughter now has a cold & cough because who knows how long they had her like that. Also my daughter can only wear Huggies diapers. Everything else makes her break out. This was stated in her paperwork and her diapers were even provided for her. When I got home, she had someone else's diapers on (not sure of the brand), and her bottom was starting to break out. I don't understand how can you can be so careless on something that you are licensed to do. My daughter was there for a day and will NOT go back! I called the director to tell her what had happened. I've never been so upset like this before.

They're always so delightful early in the morning when you drop your child off and just as much in the afternoon when you pick them up. Very clean, and they always take proper preventive measures when a problem arises. My wife and I absolutely love the staff! In the next year or so, our son will be going on to kindergarten, and so we'll probably be enrolling our 1 yr old right after that. Keep up the awesome job guys! Primrose Rocks!

CCA is a hidden gem in the Troutman/ Statesville area. The teachers and staff care about each individual child and know each of their unique personalities, one of the many benefits of a smaller school - They're not just a face in the crowd. The teachers and staff truly love these kids and build them up through prayer and guidance when they need it most. The Abeka curriculum is top-notch and truly Christ - centered. My children are thriving, and are learning so much that many other schools don't teach these days. They even have better cursive than I do! If you have a chance to check out the school, I highly recommend it, it's reassuring to know you can trust where your children are each day, that they are safe, loved and getting the best education possible and most importantly being raised up in a Christian school environment.
