Fr Pat is an old time Irish priest who offers a strong, no nonsense interpretation of the gospel message. As you can see from the pictures, this is a Cathedral size church that is as large as any I've been in within the US, with the exception of the National Cathedral in Washington DC, or St John the Divine in NY. They have several services during the week, including a Chapel Mass at 8:30 each day and one at Noon Tuesday through Friday. Confessions are heard on Saturday @ 2:00 to 3:30 PM Sunday Mass is at 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30 AM and one on Saturday at 4 pm.

I truly enjoy the worship music, since it is more of a blend between contemporary and traditional. The sermons allow me to be reflective of my relationship with God while remembering who He is and what He has done. When I leave I feel spiritually fed but also challenged to continue growing my relationship with God. I highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a multigenerational congregation that stands on God's word, cares about your spiritual journey, and prayerfully supports you with prayer.

I just participated in a third grade pen pal program designed to encourage the students to write cursive letters to each other and I met the most wonderful child and will cherish her letters. The church is a source for the surrounding community and I am glad to be a member.

The decision to join Christ the King was almost immediate and the reception from the congregation was full of love and welcome. We loved the attention and friendship from the Clergy and the congregation, we also loved the emphasis they place on Bible Study and prayer. We look forward to Sunday worship and Bible Study as well as the Bible-inspired classes they offer after the Wednesday evening dinners (which are fantastic as well). They made BIG points with me by going out of their way to be welcoming, to help me get oriented to their parish and Ocala, and by being an effective support system for me when on those days when my father was especially difficult. I also have to say they're one of the most diverse congregations I've ever seen. One funny thing about Ocala: the most intense traffic jams which form in that city are on Sunday mornings between 9 and 10 am as people head off to church; and then again after noon as people go back home!

I punch in yelp.com and come up with sushi restaurants. So my review is this, I understand freedom of speech and would die for it, but when it comes to treatment centers and church I think with should have a little more information available with reviews other than Randy does not like us. Actually Randy has threatened several people here and we are pretty sure slashed tires on two church vehicles. He left here so he could drink and as far as we know that is what he is doing. A lot of people leave this program as they do with every treatment program and all of them blame every body but themselves. The nature of the game! My problem is that I dont see why a business that specializes in restaurant reviews is helping practicing drunks and drug addicts run down a place that has helped the the less fortunate in this community for 20 years. At least give us a place for rebuttal after every post.
