Wow!!!! I found my new place and stylist. FINALLY!! Since living in Northern Idaho I have had a rough time finding a stylist that uses quality products, maintains their education in the field and is able to communicate with you every step of the way. Cathy is it!! I found her on-line and here on Yelp. I called and made my appointment, surprised at how quickly she was willing to fit me in so I received the services I needed before my wedding day. When I arrived at the salon, it is one of the most adorable places. Nicely decorated, very clean and beautiful. Cathy stepped away from her client to greet me the moment I stepped in. (Wow) Once I sat in her chair I was blown away. We actually talked for quite a while, about what I wanted done with my hair. the color choices and styles. I showed pictures and she pulled out color samples. I needed to have my hair "fixed" from the last persons hack job. So we had a lot of work to get done before my wedding date in a week. I loved everything I saw in the salon and everything Cathy discussed with me. I was ready to jump in and get it done. Then Cathy tossed me another surprise and said to me, now that we have our action plan, let's review the pricing so that you know what to except in the end and there are no surprises. Wow. I LOVE MY HAIR!!! One of, if not the best hair cut EVER!! The color is beyond beautiful. Cathy's techniques for blending, weaving color and cutting hair are top notch, MASTER STYLIST level. I am hooked on Cathy and her skills. As a side note. I was so impressed with the salon and previously failed to find a person or place to get my nails done, so I've been without for the last year. A little late leaving a review but here it is. We just moved to Northern Idaho, Moyie Springs actually and it was time to get my hair done with a cut and some low lights. Not knowing or just trusting anybody to do my hair well that just isn't easy so I get on my iphone and ask Suri where the best hair salon is and Cathy's Corner was #1 so I gave her a call and she was able to get me in the next day. I drove the the 38 miles to Sandpoint and was I glad that I did. Cathy was great and after consulting with me on what I wanted and didn't want she put in the lowlights and then gave me a great cut! This past summer I went to Cathy's Corner hair studio to get blonde highlights in my hair. I was super nervous for the appointment because I don't trust many people with my hair, but within the first 5 minutes of meeting Cathy my mind was set at ease. She was friendly, professional, and a great listener to the ideas and concerns for my hair. I have naturally blonde hair and my intent was to add additional blonde highlights to create a "sun-kissed" look, and Cathy did a wonderful job at this. My hair kept its natural feel and look but with a well-balanced summer splash of highlight. The best haircut I've had in my life. Cathy did a great job of listening to what I wanted in my haircut while also making the cut work for my natural hair qualities. I also found it helpful that as she was cutting and styling my hair, she walked me through what product she was using, why she chose that product for my hair, and how to style it myself. She was really patient with me and helpful in talking about my hair type, face shape, desires, etc...I'm kind of "picky," haha, and she worked with my needs and my hair's properties, giving me a cut that is flattering and no fuss!
