MEOW! I bought a groupon to this furballed fun zone and received a coffee and an hour to pet and purr with some cuddly felines. All cats here have been chosen to dwell at catmosphere from a rescue shelter and all of them are readily available to be adopted. The cat-chaperone (Caterone?) was really knowledgable about their habits and names and not surprising-these cats cone and go quite quickly. Which I loved to find out.....adoption rocks! I kinda wished they would of had cat profiles (catfiles?) on the walls with their picture as without our Caterone I didn't know their names. Please don't bring young kids here. The urge to pick them up would be too great...there were some smooshy faces. Lovely afternoon.

My wife has been bugging me to take her here ever since we moved to Sydney and she learned of this place. So this weekend I bit the bullet and surprised her with a booking today at 1 pm. She was over the moon excited and the experience did not let down. When we arrived we greeted right away and our drink order was taken, just as quickly my wife was headed upstairs to as we were on the clock (60 min). When we entered the room it seemed there was only a few cats however the more we looked around, there were cats everywhere! 16 total in the room! As a dog person myself, this experience was actually extremely relaxing, and enjoyable. The staff in the room were very informative and had great stories about each cats. There was also a kitten room, but that is a separate booking. Next time we go we will be doing the kitten room for sure!

I love this place (in part because I love cats, and in part because it's a great place itself!). I made a reservation for six friends and me to play with the cats (and drink coffee/hot chocolate) for an hour. (Tip: they take reservations for the cats - you can walk in, but if it's full, you're out of luck. They seemed pretty busy on the Saturday afternoon when I was there, so I suggest making a reservation). When we arrived, they took drink orders (the price for an hour with the cats - $20 - included a coffee/hot chocolate/tea). We then went upstairs, where they have a room with probably 12-15 cats. We played with the cats for an hour while drinking our drinks. Each of them have space-themed names. The cats themselves were very accustomed to humans, however given the number of people in and out each day, the staff asks that you not pick the cats up. They were great to pet, though. A couple staff members joined us to talk about the cats and the cafe. They gave us some background about the cats, their respective personalities, etc. We had to leave after an hour because another group had booked. It was sad to say goodbye but I will definitely be back!

First time here at the cat cafe, wasn't sure what to expect. The coffee was good, but we didn't get the cookies as part of the $20 entry fee which was a bit of a let down as fairly expensive coffee! We booked for 6pm & got into the room about 6:10pm which cut down our hour session as we were asked to leave at 7pm. What was odd was people from the previous session had not left & were still in the room for at least half our our session, so there were 12 people & 16 cats. The cafe does really good work, socialising the abandoned cats before they go to families for adoption, however I feel the cats were a bit overwhelmed by having so many people demanding their attention. It may need to be monitored better. I think it would work better with 8 people per session & would benefit the cats too. All the cats look well & have lots of toys & places to relax. The staff were friendly & welcoming & happy to explain how the cafe work & the procedures if you wanted to adopt. The cats stay there for 6 months before they can be adopted & checks are extensive.

Cool concept, like Japan. There's a cafe and then you play with cats. We have way more rules and council regulations than Japan, so you can get a coffee or tea (I got a green tea), which you can take inside he room; but has to be in a take away cup with a lid. You also cannot take food in, so you have to eat before or after. It's $20 to play with cats, have a coffee and then they give you a cat shaped cookie. The cats are rescue cats - but now very well looked after and they can be adopted. I sat with a beautiful stray, that was obviously well loved but hadn't been chipped. You can adopt them if you so please. About three tried to bite me, one successfully. There's also a kitten room, but have to book separately. Darren, the man working there was super knowledgeable and lovely. A good place to take kids on school holidays

They are unprofessional. Every time i go there they are late, one time i even saw the dr walking in…read moreand out of his office just chatting to the receptionist about personal matters, whilst they had a full room of patients just waiting. Which is really rude seeing as my appointment with him was already 20 minutes late. I also got a blood test there. The Doctor said i should do a RAST test. Me not being a doctor asked what it was, he explained it was for allergies. I said will it effect my ability to claim my 3 free medicare checks for food allergies as i already know what allergies i have, he said no. I said well still i know that i am allergic to dustmites is it necessary? He said yes lets do it. So yes now i will have to pay $75 for my food allergy tests because not only is he incompetent he is also a liar. And what do you know i am still allergic to dustmites thanks Dr Dips**t. IF you VALUE your health under no circumstances should you go hear. AVOID THIS PRACTISE.

On Friday the 24th of April, I called to make an appointment, and was very clear that I had…read moremultiple issues I needed to discuss. They booked me in for 9:40am on the 25th, for what I understood to be an extended appointment. I went in, and saw a doctor who didn't bother to introduce himself (He was Caucasian, short balding hair and had an accent.) He asked me why I was there, and I started with my most pressing problem... an injured back which had caused me to fly home from a holiday a month early. I needed to be diagnosed and treated, but also I needed a letter for insurance purposes (Not for medical treatment, but for flight changes I paid for out of pocket). I immediately sensed a shift in his attitude, and I felt like he was calling me a scam artist or something. I distinctly felt "judged". Without me even lifting my shirt, he told me it was just muscular, and an insurance company would never pay for it. He did not know who my insurer was, nor had he even done anything more than make a snap judgment on my condition. He had me stand up, and show him my range of movement. I bent forward, backwards, and side to side. I assure you, there wasn't much range. Maybe 20% of what I normally enjoy. He said "I have a good range of movement". Maybe if I was 80... In any case, the move that most aggravated my back was any twisting motion. (Even rolling over in bed proved painful). He didn't check that range of motion. In fact, he still hadn't even asked me where the pain was, or touched the affected area at this point. When I brought that to his attention, he said "I assume this is lower back pain?". It wasn't. It was mid back. He finally inspected the area closer, and stuck to his guns, saying it was "just" muscular. I told him I didn't really care whether I had a broken spine or a sore back - I just needed a doctor to say that it was injured and how, so I could present it to the insurance company as requested. Reluctantly, he typed up a wishy washy letter, printed it out, folded it, and told me I'd have to give the girl at the front desk $50. When I enquired as to why, he said "Medicare doesn't cover insurance claims". I have no idea if there's any truth to this, but I was 5 minutes into a 10 minute appointment. I told him that I had other issues to discuss, to which he replied "you didn't make a double appointment". First of all, I did. Secondly, I actually didn't need to... there was time left in my STANDARD appointment. Thirdly, if a fee was due for the "insurance letter", he should have let me know that BEFORE writing it. Lastly, at no point did he offer me any TREATMENT advice. In the end, I angrily walked out. The standard of medical "care" he provided was atrocious, and the abuse of Medicare was too - Appointment times are 10 minutes, and he tried to hustle me out the door after 5. His bedside manner was appalling, and I could have been forgiven for thinking he was on the payroll of various insurance companies. He seemed more interested in protecting them than treating me. Absolute Scam.

What can I say? No one 'wants' to be in hospital but…read more..... Where to start...parking. Yes there is parking. Yes you pay for the privilege to park, and they are not shy about their fees! At least they have a garage so that's something. Just my opinion but, the parking needs to be improved. A lot. Getting in and out of the car park is akin to a juggling act on a trapeze. Terrible and dangerous and whoever designed it should be ashamed......as should the powers that be that approved it. The fees are exorbitant, in my opinion, so if you're on a tight budget, think twice. *This is my only complaint thus, deducted 1star. The public and private facilities are adjacent to each other even though your gps might show you two separate addresses. I don't want to sound like I'm gushing here but, as hospital experiences go, this was excellent! Really! The lobby and reception areas are clean, bright and friendly staff. The day surgery waiting area is light, has chair seating and usually runs like a well oiled machine. Friendly staff members understand you're there for a procedure and probably nervous...and they are friendly and smiling and make it a little better, as smiles do! Once ready for procedure, while it can be redundant they asked several times pertinent questions, which was great because I had concerns that they helped to alleviate somewhat. Fast forward to an overnight recovery and the nurses are incredible, friendly and caring. 'My' nurses included Michelle and DJ. To be honest, they deserve kudos on every level! The food was better than hospital food, better than airplane food and I want to give credit where credit is due....but don't expect it to be 5star restaurant quality because you'll be disappointed. All in all, as hospital stays go, St Vincent's is really wonderful! Runs like a well oiled machine, clean and beautiful, and more importantly to me, excellent staff members, non-medical and medical. If they can improve anything, it would be the car park.
