Wouldn't order here before 11:30am. We ordered online for pickup time of 10:45am on a Saturday. They didn't have the order ready until 11. They didn't have the drinks available that we had ordered online until 11:15. If you're in a rush would not expect this to be a quick pickup like chipotle. Additionally, the in store customers line was super long because they had nothing ready to serve I guess. If you're not ready to serve customers then just change your hours and don't open at all or have the employees start prepping earlier. I've had quicker service at actual sit down restaurants. Despite all that the food was good! Flavorful sauces and pita crisps are addicting. I guess I'd just need to order like 30 minutes before I want the food. read more

It is such a shame that Cava does not exist in Northern California, but on account of this I always treat myself to Cava when I'm in southern California, no matter how short the trip. The line is efficient, ordering is straightforward, and the meat is always fresh. I absolutely love all the mean choices that I've tried. The only protein that I've not yet had is the falafel, as I tend to opt for the higher protein-per-serving option. I love the babaganoush - wish I could buy it as a side in itself to take home, or as a dipping side to the pita chips. That's how good it is. I come to this location often and have always had a good experience. Service is usually quick and staff is friendly. Despite what other reviewers have said, every time I've visited, they have always had ingredients in stock. Do not come here for lunch. Constant delays all the time. I placed an order for pick up at 11:45 am and an hour later my order is still not ready. The employee working continuously pushed off my request telling me I'm in the rotation. At 12:30 the employee finally comes by and asks about my order and proceeds to print out a receipt and starts making my order. It is completely ridiculous that I waited an hour for something that could have taken me fifteen minutes had I just walked in and stood in line. Multiple coworkers of mine have had a similar experience with significant delays. Came in on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy. Long line just to order but line was moving fairly quickly. Compared to other cava locations that we have been to, portions are decent but the quality was slightly worse. Had a piece of large piece chicken that was extremely overcooked and solid, not even edible. Other than that, everything else tasted good as usual. read more

The customer service is really off putting here. Like others have mentioned, this particular Cava goes by rules that resemble Chipotle. If you ask for extra rice at this location, you won't get it. My order is so simple, I don't get all the sides and dips available so it's important at least for me to get a bit of extra carbs to offset the chicken, corn, and cabbage. Sometimes you just want to grab a quick lunch to enjoy on your break and when I have interactions like these it makes me never want to go again, so great job today guys if this is what corporate Cava told you guys to do, it's working. Won't be returning to this location. Ive order pick up three times from here and all three times they hardly put any food. Today's half chicken half potatoes literally had 3 pieces of potatoes and barely any greens. I never have this issue at the Tustin location or the Hb one so it's def just this one. read more

I was looking for a place to eat and found this place through yelp. When I entered the restaurant the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the chicken and rice bowl. The bowl comes with brown rice, tzatziki, hummus, feta, pickled onion, tomato, arugula, and chicken with yogurt vinaigrette. The bowl was filling and very flavorful. I have been looking for my go-to place for lunch when I go to work. It used to be chipotle but the customer service, quality and consistency has been going down hill for Chipotle. Fast forward to today, my barber recommended me Cava so I gave it a try. They were so friendly to me, I spoke to Danny and Luis who were very patient with meeting my needs and made my first experience an amazing one. I should've known when i saw how empty it was. There was no line and somehow they had more people working the kitchen than on the actual bar. The worker was nice but they gave the smallest portions ever. I mean it doesn't even fill up the sides a bit. The steak doesn't look all that great compared to another cava I've been to. Are you in the mood for THE WORST Cava ever? Then come here and waste your money. Upon entering the store you encounter a line that moves really really slow. Slowest line I've ever been in to get food. Portion size is absolutely the worst. They are so skimpy with their portion sizing you might as well start recording and make them an example. They've also ran out a lot of things like corn, broccoli, etc. The food quality here is very below average. The rice is cold, the steak is so greasy, dry, and cold. The oil was still bubbling like it was being heated but the steak is not warm. The staff here are quite unhappy and love to throw your bowl to the next area. I watched them build mobile orders and all I can say is "wow". Someone ordered the lentils and I saw the person scoop up like a tea spoon amount. I also watched an employee roll their eyes so and sigh of frustration while making a mobile order. On top of that, drinks are out of order too? Wow. They can't manage stock or manage their appliances. Overall, this place is a joke. The interior is nice but everything else is a joke. read more

I usually don't take time writing reviews, but today's experience was just terrible. I don't expect my bowl to be overflowing but it should not be half of the usual portion. The photos were taken before I ate. When I showed my bowl to a worker(who happened to be a manager) he just said that's their usual portion. When I said I've been getting food from there for years, he just repeated that it's the usual portion. That was DEFINITELY not true. At first I thought some toppings were missing so then he brought out a small portion of the eggplant. Then inside my bowl I found a tiny glop(literally a teaspoonful) of the eggplant so I returned it to him. Then I used a fork to show how little "salad" was actually in my bowl and he just grabbed extra salad and said, "that's good, right?" Well, no. There is a big problem with our interaction. If he's the manager that means people working there are not instructed to serve food with consistent portions, as can be evidenced by other reviewers who said they experienced inconsistent portions and quality. Second, not taking responsibly for their inconsistent portions is another big issue. He lacks customer service skills and should have acknowledged that it was less than usual from the beginning. And while he was getting the extra salad, other workers were laughing on the side. I'm not some customer who wants extra portions for free. I want the portion that I paid for to be made right. I do not enjoy bringing their attention to something they did not do right just as much as they probably didn't want to hear it. This is the closest location to me and I so wish that they would get it together so I can continue to go there. read more
