First time here. Food was delicious. We came here on a Friday night. There was plenty of lobby and outside seating. Ordered a salmon bowl and a chicken pita. Great serving sizes. Service was ok. All employees that were taking my order seemed bothered and not interested in providing the service. (It could have also been because it was an hour before they closed, but still). Felt more like an inconvenience when ordering. Again, I'm a first timer, so they probably were just wanting to get through to the next customer, but there was no line. Okay, so second visit to Cava, with the summer heat, a fresh and flavorful bowl always hits the spot. Now that school is getting back into the swing of things, this location has definitely picked up. There was a small line and many of the tables were occupied. The line moved quickly and the we were able to build our bowls in no time. I had almost the same exact thing as my first experience, lots of fresh veggies, delicious dips, and the delicious harissa pita chips. This time I did try the braised lamb and they had just launched some new dips/sauces for their pita chips, outside their normal line up. We tried the green garlic sauce, which was nice and refreshing! Lamb was good, but for almost a $4-5 dollar upcharge, not sure I would get it again. The service was friendly as well. The real difference in this experience is every single table was so dirty and gross in the entire restaurant. I am not talking just dirty, I mean sticky and food crumbs and overall, with their decent size dining space, we could not find one clean table. I get it, they are busy and it was picking up, but there was multiple times were no one was in line, and they seemed as they were staffed well that I am not really sure why there wasn't someone going out more frequently. I had a really frustrating experience at CAVA. I placed an online pickup order for 10:30 PM because the website and app both showed that as their closing time. I arrived around 10:20 PM, and the front door was locked while the entire crew inside completely ignored me standing there. After several minutes, someone finally came outside and was extremely rude, saying they had "new summer hours" that apparently just started this week. When I asked about getting a refund since I couldn't even pick up the food I already paid for, they told me there was nothing they could do. If the restaurant is going to close earlier, the app and website should absolutely be updated so customers can't place orders during a time the store won't even be open. So while my food was not bad... first of all, they forgot my roommates sour cream & onion pita chips so we had to drive back and recover those. Second and worst of all, my roommate had severe food poisoning (from both ends) for at least 8 hours straight, I'm talking laying on the bathroom floor sick. Food is always fresh, greens are crisp, and the sauces are divine at Cava! I have to give this location four stars for service (poor staff are rushed and understaffed), as well as the dining room's condition (tables are often dirty and have crumbs/trash). Most disappointing was my Feta steak bowl. The red pepper hummus was not spicy, but sour, and at least eight pieces of the cubed steak were just fatty gristle. I've loved Cava since I first discovered it but haven't been in awhile. However I keep coming back despite it being in the middle of all the ASU hubbub. It's an incredible alternative to Chipotle and it's my favorite health conscious food spot, they always deliver and the atmosphere there is pretty lively. Ordered a make your own bowl with Brown rice, Grilled chicken and lamb-- all topping and garlic sauce--when taking my first bite I got a small crunch in my teeth, took out the little hard thing and tried another bite and the same thing. I'd never been here before but as I had heard, the food was delicious! They had a ton of different options for food and drinks. Very unique drink options like blueberry side and pineapple mint lemonade. My only minor complaint is that the line was super long (not a big deal) but also moving pretty slow. There was only one worker taking orders. The restaurant was very clean considering how busy it was and there was nice outdoor seating. Pricing was a little on the high side for fast casual but not terrible. The parking can also be a little hard as that lot is always packed but that's the nature of the location. read more

I am fed up with this location. I'm really almost done with the whole food chain because the laziness of preparing the food is diabolical. First I walk in and there's a puddle in front of the refrigerator at the beginning of the order line. No wet floor sign. You almost had a lawsuit on your hand. I'm especially done with the Tempe location. I came in a time before this one. And the rice look like mashed potatoes. And the chicken (much like this very recent visit) is inedible. The chickens always half-ass cut up. Then the chicken is cooked with skin and gristle still attached, and Chewy as hell. Then has the nerve to still have bone in it. I know there's nothing but kids working at this location. But that is no excuse. The manager is not training the employees, clearly. I don't care if that is something you don't normally do. You can't sell supposed to be fillet chicken with boned, skin and gristle on it. Now back to the rice. It's like it's rarely ever cooked right. It either looks like mashed potatoes or it's burnt on the bottom because it's sat all day. The girl literally looked at me. And said, I got the rice from the top not the bottom. I literally saw her flip the bottom of it over that's how I knew it was burnt. I told her if you can see the bottom from the top you're at the bottom. On top of that all the food is always cold. I have reached out to the manager and voiced my concerns. He could care less. I love cava and have spent a pretty penny over the last year or so. I wish I could turn in my points that I have and get my $8 and that doesn't even cover a whole bowl. And be done with this place. The food here is too expensive for this s***. This great place is tucked away in the corner and in the same complex as Trader Joe's. There was a bit of a line but it was worth the wait. The staff ask me along the way if I wanted the change anything and carefully prepared my pita. They placed it on a cute little plate and I was off to my table. There are many drinks to choose from. The iced tea was fresh and delicious. The pita was very soft and the whole thing tasted amazing and was full of flavor. I will definitely be back to try one of the other pitas. read more

Seen this place on yelp, wanted to give it a go. The parking in this area is rough! Just park by the ASU building and walk, it's your best bet. I was in like about 10-15 mins, there was also a "to-go" line by the register, I got through the line faster than those people did, they were waiting forever! I don't think this place has figured out a proficient way to handle both in-person and online orders. I ordered an avocado bowl with honey chicken or something like that. And their limited time ranch pita chips. The place was very chaotic, I almost got charged twice because after I paid they didn't know that I was waiting for my pita chips and rung me up again. And this place was decently pricey. The servings were pretty small, I don't see how the calorie breakdown is accurate at all. The pita chips were just drenched in seasoning. Recently ordered for DELIVERY on 02/21/2025 and they didn't deliver my whole order with a purchase tag of 104 dollars. I called them 6 times before someone answered the phone.
