She really talked in depth about the wines and you could tell this was truly her passion. We ended up tasting 3 wines that day; a red, white and a rose. Since it was our honeymoon she only charged us for 1 tasting, SO sweet!! Highly recommend coming here. It is a family run winery and you can really tell they love what they do.

We so enjoyed the feel of the place, the wonderful employees, and breath taking views. We were so impressed that they do everything in-house as an AOC Bellet, from the vineyards to the labels. It is the perfect way to escape from Nice for the afternoon. At 25 Euro per person for a 2 hour and 5 wine experience, it doesn't get better!

Again this is France, we are in zero hurry, but we would have spent so much more money if they were attentive and asked if you would like more wine. Instead we went mostly dry. That crap has grape seeds in it, and is already fertilized by the crap! If that's not divine intervention, I don't know what is. Ok, so we've established that wine is next to godliness, correct? Now let's establish the fact that this vineyard and winery is also heaven sent! As soon as you roll in through their front gates and look across the vineyards you know you're in the right place. Then as you walk inside and sample their wine you know you you've stumbled upon something special, something angelic even! I know, I know, hyperbole much? Ok, guilty as charged. It's just that wine puts a smile on everyone's face, and this place, paired with the wine they produce is seriously something special. Their rose is something to write home to mom about. Primarily of the Grenache varietal, it's light, fruity and refreshing. A solid wine to drink by itself, or pair it with some fish or salads. Reservations were simple to make online. €25 per person for a classic tasting plus full tour of production. The property is nestled atop Castiglione Falletto in the Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Absolutely stunning views from the courtyard peering directly at Diano d'Alba across the valley. The afternoon sun provides the best lighting for pictures you'll treasure forever. They offer four tours daily. I recommend later afternoon just for the lightning. Our tour guide Lucia was an absolute professional with extensive knowledge of history, geography, and Vietti family background. We lucked out as others in the group canceled and we ended up with a private tour. After an hour tour of the property, tasting begins. There are many varieties in the lineup and they will tailor to your pallet. My wife likes whites and I prefer bold reds and we both left happy. There is not the option of buying and shipping wine from here. For that, rely on one of the well established community Enotecas. This was my first onsite tour of a winery in Piedmont and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Highly recommend.

His family has been making wine in this region for generations. His wines are some of my favorite, not only to drink but to sell. He makes many single vineyard wines and blends from Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto. HIs father was the man who brought Arneis back to life after almost being extinct. The view from his winery look directly down on the scarrone vineyard planted by his father. Behind it lies a breathtaking view of Barolo. All the women in our group were fawning over Luca as he exudes the typical charm only possessed by older Italian men. He is as gracious as a lamb and passionate beyond belief. Touring his facility was a dream come true. These wines are some of the finest IN THE WORLD. One should do everything in their power to put as much of this wine into their body before one dies!

The proprietor Julien Bertaina does it all here- from planting to labeling the bottles. He is exceptionally engaging and passionate about his wines. I have visited many wineries over the past several years, and very few match Domaine Saint Joseph for having both excellent, affordable wine and an amazing tasting experience that is authentic to its core. This is a small-production operation of around 8,000 bottles a year. If you find the place, you will encounter some unique, local wines.
