The sunsets are breathtaking here but the camp sites are all very close together. You can hear everything through the oTENTiks so loud kids may disturb you. On the plus side they all have power outlets, gas grills and dishes at this campground unlike Fundy NP. The bathrooms and showers are modern, clean and have lots of hot water. The downside to coming in the shoulder season is almost everything around it is closed. We did Greco's pizza for dinner and Chez Yevonne for breakfast. That's about the only choice. Even the Tourists Mart (aka grocery and beer store) is closing in a few weeks.

We both loved how the beach wasn't too rocky and that you could walk out a fair amount in the water before it got deep. Would definitely go back. Parking- there is a parking lot near the entrance of the beach but many park close to the entrance and the overflow goes to the parking lot.

The Stanley Bridge Marine Aquarium in Breadalbane, PEI showcases many preserved/taxidermy birds, mammals, and marine creatures. You can literally blast through the exhibits in less than 15 minutes or stretch it out longer depending on your level of interest. The exhibits are off to the left side of the building once you enter the front entrance, but only after immediately encountering the gift shop. Admission is $7.40 plus taxes per person. Three pools with live eels, oysters, lobster, halibut, etc. are for viewing and handling if your brave enough to touch! Carr's Oyster Bar is next door and you can enjoy a beverage on the patio.

I was out geocaching late into the night while vacationing in PEI when I spied a huge Tudor…read morebuilding in the middle of Kensington. As the weirdness of this sunk in, I turned around and drove back and I was introduced to one of the most interesting sights in PEI. I got out of my vehicle and toured the grounds and I knew that I would be returning with the kids very soon. The next morning I spoke to the kids about the attraction and the question was "Is it scary or cheesy"? I had done some simple research on the computer and I honestly couldn't answer but I told them what I knew from the pictures. They decided that they had enough information to go. Twenty minutes later we were walking up the stairs. I had four kids with me, two of them teenagers and fearing that this wouldn't be scary enough, I went a bit overboard in the first room, pretending that something grabbed be from inside the couch. Immediately, they were terrified. They wanted me to lead, they wanted to hold hands in a chain, and my eldest really wanted my smart phone to use as a flashlight. I obliged every once in a while, but we mostly wen sans flashlight. There is a single path through the mansion and every 20 meters or so there's an escape route for the most timid folk and although the kids were seriously considering escaping at the first exit, they pushed forward and made it through the whole house. The first 5 or 6 rooms are the scariest in my opinion; if you make it past those, it gets brighter (quite bright upstairs). The main floor are mainly dark rooms/scenes with a few automatons and very cool moving 'portrait'. Upstairs is laid out like an apartment with windows, so there was natural light throughout and the kids were able to handle this area with no fear. The basement is setup like a Tudor town (very much like the shambles in York). It also has a couple 'attractions' with the bottomless pit and the revolving room; both really fun. If you successfully emerge, you come to the gardens which is split into two sections. The largest is filled with interesting things like ponds, walkways, an automated fortune teller, photo op areas and the smaller area has a few rides (tilt-a-whirl, plane ride, wagon ride) and some games. We spend just as much time outside as we did in. I paid about $55 for four kids and myself for about 3 hours of fun. It wasn't cheap, but I think it's good value for the money. So much so that the kids begged to come back the next day, and we did.

Of course, no guarantee that anyone will…read morecatch anything - but considering use of fish finder, everyone should at minimum catch a few mackerels (no bait needed). First hour is mackerel fishing. Second and third hour are cod and other bottom dwelling fishing. This part uses mackerel as bait. We feel very well supported by the experienced crew - they cut up the mackerel for us to use as bait and also take any fish we pull up off the hooks for us. When fishing mackerel, they were constantly non-stop busy taking mackerel. We had problem finding bottom dwelling fish. The entire boat only managed to land one cod. We did pull up 7 or 8 other fish that we can keep. All the mackerels were filleted and put in plastic bags, one for each family. Tip - don't expect to land a giant fish or even a cod. most likely you will only get a few mackerels. Regardless, you will have a nice cruise with a friendly, helpful group.

A fun way to spend part of an afternoon. They have several rides. Grounds admission is free you just way for what you want to do from games to rides to mini golf and of course go karts.
