Great history lesson. I recommend Albert Coffee as your tour guide. He takes daily tours from SMA. Beautiful scenery.

Beware of people like Cindi - she was consistently rude and then later after causing us storage…read moreissues in SMA, opened a big box - and made sure she had a small box opened in her office, she had gone though it with no permission! - and didn't even bother to tape it back. We had things stolen, boxes opened - and sadly, nothing was done about it. We had a GREAT experience with David, Alfredo and Ian - and would continue to work with them in the future. I would give them 10 stars! We hope that Cindi and those who have stolen and lied there repent and stop behaving that way! It really is terrible, as we had no problems with the rest of the kind and hard working people at Zoomalo who work in SMA and Laredo.

My Experience with Zoomalo's Storage Service I rarely write…read morenegative reviews, but I believe future customers deserve accurate information when choosing a company to transport and store their belongings. I hired Zoomalo to move and store the contents of my home while my new house in San Miguel de Allende was being completed. My furniture, artwork, books, antiques, clothing, and personal possessions remained in storage for 25 months. I expected them to be kept indoors under appropriate conditions and handled with reasonable professional care. When the truck finally arrived, the moving crew asked us to sit down before opening the doors. Once unloading began, it became painfully clear why. Many of the cardboard boxes had deteriorated so severely that they could no longer support their own weight. Several collapsed as they were lifted. According to the crew, numerous boxes had already been re-packed before delivery because the original cartons had disintegrated. This made it extremely difficult to identify where many items belonged or even verify whether everything that had originally been packed was still there. The condition of the boxes strongly suggested prolonged exposure to the elements rather than storage inside a protected warehouse. They showed extensive deterioration consistent with exposure to sun, rain, dust, and mud. The damage extended far beyond the boxes themselves. Many books and magazines suffered water damage, leaving pages permanently stuck together. Clothing had a strong mold odor, and numerous garments were covered with black mold and had to be thrown out, as there was no possible repair. Several paintings developed holes in their canvases. Moisture warped wooden furniture so that drawers and doors no longer fit properly, while the hand-painted finishes on several antique pieces had partially or completely disappeared. Unpacking became months of painful suffering. We had to clean, sort, document, and then decide what could be restored and what we had to get rid of as irrecoverable. A costly and agonizing situation that did not need to happen. Throughout the process, I carefully photographed the damage and maintained detailed records. To Zoomalo's credit, they repaired or refinished a small number of damaged items, and I appreciate that effort. However, those repairs addressed only a small portion of the overall damage and did not resolve the broader consequences of the condition in which my belongings were returned and the irreparable loss. I also believe it is important to acknowledge that no company is immune from problems. What ultimately matters is how those problems are handled. Before posting this review, I made every effort to resolve the matter directly and through mediation. So far, Zoomalo seems indifferent. My purpose in sharing this experience is not simply to describe what happened to me, but to encourage anyone considering services from a moving and storage enterprise to ask detailed questions about exactly how and where their belongings will be transported and stored, and to document everything carefully before handling their possessions. Moving into a new home should be an exciting milestone. Instead, I faced the permanent loss of possessions that had been part of my life for many years.
