Their garments are of good quality and well made and you definitely pay a hefty price, but considering the garbage you buy for the same amount in the US..it's worth it. My only gripe about a couple of the shops is that the sales people were so aggressive! I don't know if they work on commission, but I was told a certain size was not available at any other store but when I went to one of the other stores, I had no problem finding my size. They also didn't offer to contact the other shops to see. So, my advice is to shop all four and don't succumb to the sales pressure.

Instead, they have shifted to providing cooking classes while also maintaining an excellent well stocked deli. We were able to scoop up drinks, cheese, crackers and meats for a takeaway charcuterie board. Had a nice conversation with the friendly owner too- really an excellent family run and fully stocked store. Would gladly stop by again the next time we are in Posi.

The family has owned this shop for 3 generations so you know your money is going towards a great little mom and pop shop. The custom handmade shoes for 15 min is such a wonderful experience and they make sure your shoes are comfortable and are more than willing to work with you and adjust to your comfort. I got a basic black sandal but they don't have this style in America like this! It's been years since I've seen them again. These are better new cause they're made of real Italian leather and will last "a lifetime" and even on the beach according to the shop owner! I wore these all day walking around Positano and my feet feel better than when I wear regular walking shoes. I think they eventually mold to your feet as well. Highly recommend getting some of these when you're in town. Full disclosure, I will say there are other shops that so custom sandals too and may do it for cheaper. This just happened to be the one I stopped at first. I had a pleasant experience but I didn't ask about VAT refund or shop around for a better price.

I may not have the location exactly correct--as I recall, from the ferry landing you go straight…read moreback into town, up a narrow alley and small shops that abruptly turns up and right and up. On the landing above is a storefront for Ceramiche Casola (the location is not listed on their website). No doubt it is active only for the tourist season. But if you happen across it, the offerings are amazing. Beautiful tables, vases, planters, all hand-painted and custom. They literally don't have "stock" items to walk away with. You can get something identical to what's shown, or change it however you'd like. We commissioned a 42" patio table, following one of the patterns shown but changing things up a bit--a little darker blue, a little lighter green, put bees where the butterflies are...and oh yeah, put our family name along the rim. The table is utterly indestructible, made from carved volcanic stone and fired at like 10k degrees. Nothing can happen to it. It was not cheap--2800 euro if I recall correctly--but that does include an iron stand for the table and shipping to the USA. We were quoted ~6 months delivery but it came in 3. The table and stand were delivered in a wooden crate with "Fragile" all over it--that's how I knew it was Italian (haha). It was exceptionally well packed. Two people highly recommended to move and place the stand and table. The stand was very beefy, definitely no corners cut. Once up it is a fabulous reminder of a great trip. It has held up to the snow and ice of NJ no problem. Since it's custom-only it takes some time, but it's time well-spent.
