I have watched channel 3 forever it seems, but somewhere there is a problem. Number 1, where is Jim Donovan? He is the best anchor on 3. His replacement has no personality, I do not know what has happened in the last 2 years, but you had better get back to being the best, as before. Your new choices are not getting it. I have watched CBS Philly weather for years, but I must admit since 2023 it has plummeted in its effectiveness and professionalism. Please get rid of the green screen global effects which encompasses the entire stage (floor and background). As the meteorologist tries to find his place on the map It's distracting and ineffective. He could be stating about Morgantown and his feet are in Philadelphia. Please go back to the old school way...it is still the best. Another issue your viewer has to deal with...viewing a beautiful skyline in Philadelphia in the background, then all of a sudden the meteorologist rushes to one side of the stage and in the middle of the stage translucent hourly degree tubes shoot up. Did you notice I used the word translucent? You have the skyline of Philadelphia in the background showing through the translucent tubes hindering a clear view of the actual hourly degree number. Hmmm? There's a lot going on. I believe the most distracting element to your weather forecast is the meteorologist always trying to find his place. A good formula to follow: Stand with good posture, good eye contact, smile, be charismatic, speak clearly and give the proper weather report. BINGO! As technology advances, it's understood we want to incorporate the newest techniques effectively. Here's an idea of using the green screen, rewind and go back pre-2023...show the Weather on a vertical green screen board instead of horizontal Green screen globe. Simple but extremely effective. Not what CBS Philadelphia weather is doing. The meteorologists focus is not on the reporting of the weather but more focused on showmanship. I have tried numerous times to give it a chance and I end up turning it off. I will not watch CBS Philadelphia weather news anymore. I prefer ABC phildelphia weather because they treat the weather program to inform their viewers, professionally. read more

Who had the bright idea to make the announcers ad lib? Today was the topper. They solidified their ignorance by not knowing that Veterans Day is always November 11 and not knowing why it is November 11. I have no confidence in anything they report as they are more interested in being entertainers than in being news reporters. I have this to say I'm very angers these few days since the death of black man. That white cop needs murder charges no questions it's on video and the ones holding his legs too. Been it this rioting and looting need chg, that's not how to do it , peaceful is the WAY. I'm a white woman who believes truth and law abiding. I would give them no stars if I could! I can't believe with everything happening in the area and nationally that their lead story the last few nights has been the Eagles. This is a blatant push for CBS's Thur night's NFL game. The lead story...really. You've lost all credibility as a news outlet. I have watched channel 3 since 1957. It had a different call sign then but in the preceding years they were the # 1 news source with the introduction of Eyewitness News but things have changed since then. Several long time tv personalities were let go last year, Bob Kelly, Carol Erikson & others and kept people who could not fill their shoes and you can see it in their broadcasts especially Kate Bilow. That woman's voice could crack glass plus she has a " entitled " demeanor that personally drives me nuts & I tune out. Was she a beauty queen somewhere ? Cause the way she strikes a pose while blocking the weather map, the forecast screen appears to be doing it for a judge. Is the floor manager moonlighting ? Shouldn't viewers be able to see that during a broadcast ? I hope management reads this and try and see my point and analyzes her performance. All the morning team is quite good.
