Helen is calm, approachable, reassuring and recognises that "one hat doesn't fit all" so integrates appropriate approaches to help the client achieve their desired outcome. Helen is a CBT Therapist with a background in mental health nursing and has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years including the NHS, for the MOD and now works in Private Practice. She is experienced working with stress related disorders including anxiety and depression and has a particular interest in accident and combat related trauma and has worked with many serving personnel, veterans and emergency services personnel. Helen has also worked voluntarily in the past for CRUSE Bereavement service. She has an interest in complimentary therapies and has been studying Professional Essential Oil Therapy for the last 2 years. In her spare time Helen is involved with a local dog rescue and is an active scouting volunteer working with the adolescent age group.
