We spent four days homeless in a pandemic on the promise that their techs and cleaners were handling the situation of the previous tenants. We showed up to a home where the medicine cabinets were lined with eyelashes, cat feces was on the floor, walls and ceiling shelves and piping in the basement, human feces was caked on clothes tucked behind the washer, tons of clothes and broken junk from previous tenants littered the basement and lawn, about a years worth of cat litter was layered up under the back porch on the ground, hundreds of pounds of dog feces was in the yard, truckloads of yard waste left to be raked and lots and lots of bullets and bullets shells (at least a thousand) were everywhere. Luckily when live ammo fell from the ceiling as we were cleaning the feces from the basement and hit the concrete floor it didnt go off and kill anyone in the room.
Most of the fence gates were broken, most of the doors had broken frames (including one held together by painters tape), Windows were screwed shut, or broken or missing screens. The walls and carpets had stains and holes in them , etc etc.
The maintenance guy that did the walk through came and accused us of all of the damage (right as we moved in) and laughed in my face when i asked about the cleaning job and said "I'm not a cleaner". He tended to loiter outside in his truck for hours at a time any time CCL sent him over. Needless to say we did a LOT of our move in requested work ourselves and CCL never finished the rest in our year there.
The house also happened to be sinking (obv a known issue due to the amount of rocks and clay brick mixed into the dirt around the foundation). When we tried to get the sinking porch fixed, Mario tried to gaslight me into letting him into the house without informed consent of any of my roommates while accusing me that it must be that the house is dirty. I assume this was a tactic to get out of paying for any repairs. They did end up shaving the door and leaving it almost nonfunctional instead of doing anything about the porch that was already sinking When we moved in. They also tried to blame it on less than 100 lbs of bikes that were hanging on there. Who knew porches had a capacity of 100 lbs?
Due to the lack of care taken in me trying to file complaints by admin, technician leads and the owner, it seems like they simply just dgaf at all. I would suggest you don't use them if you happen to not like cleaning out and fixing things for weeks strait then have them have the nerve to try to take anything out of your deposit later. read more
