I know someone who brought her laptop here to be repaired for water damage. The worker not only couldn't do the job (which in itself would've been fine), but he went on to claim that "I'm the best at this in New Haven. If I can't fix it, then nobody can." Oh really? Well she brought my laptop to another shop... and they fixed it. So much for that! False advertising. Guess the other review here calling him "Mr. Arrogant" was right. Certainly a major fan of C.C.T. Repair. I had a BB Q10 from Vodacom in South Afrika that was security wiped - unfortunately in the process it damaged several files of the OS which made the phone a potential brick. BB Link could not restore the file nor could an autoloader software I found on the Internet. I Googled repair services in the New Haven area - Greg's business came up and I gave a call. Sent an email about getting the charger port on my Galaxy S6 fixed. Was told to come down to the store. My wife brought our two young children down to the store to bring my phone while I was at work. She was told that they would have to also charge for a new screen as well because they had to break the screen to replace the charger port. (repair cost now quoted at over $250) The youtube video linked below shows that the screen does not actually have to be broken to replace the port. This sales tactic shows they are either dishonest about what is needed or are not skilled enough to perform a repair without causing more damage that they will subsequently charger for.
