They have a grapefruit mint candle that is natural and smells refreshing, and I wanted to get that again. When we arrived, it was about 20 minutes prior to closing, but we decided to go in for a quick looksee. I pay attention to customer service and if the vibe is welcoming and this visit it was NOT! We did not get a hello or welcome. When paying for my candle, the owner said hello, my total, and asked me to punch in my card pin. Honestly, it felt as if we were stepping on toes for entering their shop close to closing. We weren't the last customers in the shop, and we were left the store 10 minutes prior to closing. When we left, the owner immediately ran outside and pulled in her sign and closed the door. My friend and I both talked about how unwelcomed we felt, and unfortunately, we decided we will not be coming back here. It has nothing to do with the items inside the shop, but it is a crummy feeling when you want to support a small business but are left feeling rushed and unappreciated.

The building was converted in the 1970s to primarily tourist retail. The shop is situated in an "airy second floor loft with 18-foot ceilings and huge windows overlooking Cedar Creek." If you can get past all the tourists, this really is a beautiful building and pottery shop, with lots of absolutely gorgeous pottery, as well as other artwork, from artisans throughout the United States. The prices are quite reasonable, considering the quality of the goods as well as the location. If you visit one store in Cedarburg, I definitely recommend stopping here.

I fell in love with this sweet shop the moment I walked in!…read more Beautiful things filled this store. There were so many things to look at. We spent an hour in there looking at gift items, holiday, jewelry, decor, children's and tourist/Cedarburg products. This would definitely be the place to go when shopping for a birthday, baby, bridal or housewarming gift. The variety was impressive. There were no empty spaces yet it was easy to shop. The price point was very reasonable and they have a sale area as well. The woman at the front desk of the store was super sweet. She was so friendly and chit chatted with us as if we were old friends. There is something so sweet about customer service like this. It made me want to return the next time I am in town.
