This venue is absolutely gorgeous! I got married here, my step brother, my sister and numerous friends have all said "I Do" here. The grounds are stunning with beautiful wildflowers, rose bushes and hydrangeas, huge pond. You really don't need to bring much decor at all. Cedar Springs Pavilion is seriously such a beautiful place. The landscaping is incredible! Flowers everywhere! The pond and waterfall in the background make it look straight out of a magazine. It's honestly the perfect backdrop for a ceremony or photos. You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping everything looking amazing, and the whole place just feels welcoming and well put together. If you are looking for a place that is run by an unprofessional staff, that still has a lot to learn about a wedding..then this is the place for you! Do not expect any frills with this place or a smile from the owner on your happy day. I see potential in this venue, however the family that owns it, along with their staff (which was way too small for the amount of people at the wedding I attended) really need to go to wedding planning 101. For the 'planner' the #1 thing you learn as a wedding planner is to blend in...wear ALL BLACK...not a bright pink shirt. The lighting over the food was non existent, so we had no idea what we were eating. Nobody told us what it was & there were no plaques to let us know what it was either. For people with food allergies, this is not a 'cool' practice. The owner is rude, does not take the time to even know the bride & grooms names, unprofessional and really worries more about when she will get to go home than that your day is exactly what you want. The venue itself has potential. If the weeds were cut down on the way in & the parking paved, the look of the place could really change. The bathrooms are kept nice, however the bridal suite is WAY too small for even a small wedding party & off the kitchen, not a pleasant room to be in. Also, the seating for a wedding at the gazebo is not flat & people cannot sit on the chairs closest to the aisle, unless they wish to fall over. With some minor cometic enhancements, Cedar Springs could be a beautiful outdoor venue. Maybe once the owners & their staff realize that their business is based off customer service & it is a happy time for their customers, this place could really turn around. In the meantime, I cannot recommend this place until the staff gets their crap together. read more

Cedar Springs Pavilion may be a hidden gem in the future. But there is still work to do. First impressions start with the signage in front of the venue. Hard to read, not professionally painted and hard for your guest to find. We suggest a bolder font and something easier to read. Once you wind down the gravel driveway and past the weedy unattractive fields you will find it is hard for guest to park in the gravel lot. Handicap parking has 3 small spaces of concrete with not enough room behind the parking to maneuver a wheel chair. You are greeted by the view of a dumpster (should not this have been hidden from your guest) The pavilion is lovely however. The metal ceiling tiles are a throw back from the past and a nice touch. Rest rooms and other areas seem clean and fairly well maintained. The pathway down to the gazebo (site of the wedding) is perhaps a bit to steep for older guest. The chairs where your guest will sit are on a mixture of grass, dirt and gravel. Don't expect nice beautiful green grass here. Some of the seats, especially ones on the end are not safe and not on level ground. They perch at a slightly precarious angle. Definitely some work is needed here. Lighting on pathways was a safety concern as after dark none of the pathways have any lightning. There is some lighting in the parking area however. We found the food to be ok. Typical banquet food. Not good, not bad. If you are expecting top notch chef prepared that is not what you will get. If you are content with Old Country Buffet you should be fine. Service was lacking and very unprofessional. After all this is a wedding venue and you would expect top notch customer service. No refills of drinks during dinner. No one asking how may I help make your dining experience better. We would suggest the staff bone up on what customer service is and how you should provide it. All and all if you wish to be married in a country setting this may be the place for you once improvements are made in the future. Cedar Springs Pavilion may be a beautiful setting in upcoming years once the plantings mature. We also hope they learn how to speak and treat customers, guests and others in a professional way. We would suggest some training in that area is immediately needed. Once the evening is over and your guest have left. We know they will remember how beautiful the bride was and how happy the couple looked. We know your guest will forgive what is lacking at Cedar Springs Pavilion and not blame you. read more

My niece planned her wedding for over a year and thanks to the wonderful staff and owner of Cedar Springs Pavilion every aspect of her day was Perfect! The atmosphere lent itself to a very tranquil evening of celebration and one our family and friends will never forget and for which we are extremely grateful. The menu was delicious. After such a great experience, one of the bridesmaids decided to schedule her wedding next summer at Cedar Springs too and I am looking forward to sharing in their special evening with everyone also! Here are the pros and cons of my wedding in September: Pros: -Beautiful venue! We were allowed to take pictures anywhere on the grounds. -We could provide our own alcohol and were allowed to bring in one of our bartender friends in addition to one provided. -(most of) the food was good. -Courtney was wonderful at the rehearsal and the day of the wedding -They were flexible enough to have our rehearsal on Saturday morning so that I did not have to come into town early in the week. Cons:-We had shots instead of champagne toasts, they were not served to the guests in time!! I was very disappointed and had many people come up and ask me why they got shots after dinner. I had to explain to people that they were supposed to have them for the toasts. It was a shame that our guests could not take part in toasting because the staff could not find the time to have one person pass out the drinks. -Lisa and Danielle do not communicate well through e-mail. I live in MD, but am originally from OH, and could only communicate through e-mail. Most of our conversations involved me repeating information, keeping both of them up-to-date since they switched back and forth, and even had Danielle send a email with questions I had already answered and were in my file. I really felt like just another client and wish the planning would have been more organized. -The meat (stuffed pork) was very dry at dinner. read more

I recently attended a wedding out at Cedar Springs Pavillion late in September, and I must say it was absolutely beautiful! My wife and I were taken back by the attention to detail. The pond was gorgeous, the wheat field was beautiful, the staff was polite, and the food was delicious. I would go back and have my wedding there if i could. Cedar Springs Pavilion, a beautiful, elegant outdoor venue. I would recommend this to everyone seeking an outdoor wedding location. The owner and coordinator work very closely with you from the time you sign the contract until your actual day, it's very personalized I felt. Upon renting Cedar Springs, you have an event coordinator for your actual wedding day which is beyond convenient for those of us not interested in paying a boat load of money for someone you really only need for one day ;) Lisa, Danielle,and Courtney were always available to answer questions during the past year, and never made me feel as though I was an annoyance, even though I had a million questions the week leading up to my wedding ;) The catering was amazing, the best meal I've had in a while, and I know my guests agreed! In my experience, it's hard to find catered food that is equivalent to fine cuisine...Cedar Springs takes the cake! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this venue and my wedding truly was like a fairy tale. I know this wouldn't have been possible if I had gone with Cedar Springs. Cedar Springs is an AMAZING place to get married! GORGEOUS outside venue! I got married this August and I cannot express how much this place was a hit! We had people coming from all over the country and everyone is still raving about it! After reading previous reviews I have noticed that Lisa (the owner) has really listened and put a lot of effort into making this venue the best it can be! There is no longer a gravel road and there is plenty of parking spaces! The isle you walk down is now cement and beautiful. The landscaping makes the venue beautiful by itself. We did not have to add any flowers for decorations (other than the usual centerpieces etc.) to make the wedding come alive. Also, we were fortunate to get to try out the new bar/buffet area which is a separate addition from the actual pavilion. Lisa and her staff were available any time we had questions or concerns. I would send an e-mail and get a response less than an hour later. Although her staff is younger, this does not mean they do not know what they are doing! They were knowledgable, professional, and made my day much easier! (HUGE THANK YOU TO COURTNEY). Honestly, I could go on and on about how much we were pleased with our wedding, but you should go see if for yourself. Little things, such as nice bathroom, a copper tin celing, a nice pond, water fall, shuttle services, and very nice lighting all contribute to this great venue! One of the best things for us was that we were able to bring in our own alcohol! This is almost unheard of and a major plus! Not to mention the food!!! Because we were on a budget I chose the cheapest package, but that didn't matter. The food was AMAZING (esp the broc casserole..big hit!). Also, Lisa is very flexable with mixing and matching foods in packages to accomidate you and your needs. I was highly reccommend this venue to anyone! When I was first looking at venues, I must have looked at over 20 and none of them compare to Cedar Springs! Worth the trip out and worth the money! Cedar Springs Pavilion was the perfect choice for our wedding ceremony and reception. It is truly a magical place that we will remember for the rest of our lives. They did an incredible job with all the beautiful attention to detail. The decorations, candles, lighting and flowers were all gorgeous. Tabi was so friendly and professional and went above and beyond to help us with everything. She continually checked in with us to make sure we were happy and that everything was perfect. They made sure that our wedding ran accordingly to schedule and did an amazing job accommodating our guests and making modifications when a huge downpour began towards the end of the reception. Lisa's cooking was delicious. Many of our guests commented on how good the food was and we continued to enjoy the leftover food the day after our wedding! We could not have picked a better venue.
