I had the worst experience at this place. I came back from my trip to Japan with faux fur and fur items that I purchased as gifts. They had been dry cleaned in Japan without a problem. I specifically asked them to Dry clean my clothes so that they would be presentable after being in my suitcase for a long flight. After a $76 ticket price, I received my items completely damaged. They said they didn't even dry clean my items but steam cleaned them because they do not offer dry cleaning services, which is ridiculous because their main sign says Dry Cleaning. The items did not look lightly steam cleaned but completely ruined. I spent over an hour trying to salvage the fur by blow drying. It looked much better but at a closer look the individual hair on the fur is completely bent permanently and unable to be fixed. I went back to the store and showed them my pictures and told them about the situation. Hey would not even look at the pictures and said here is nothing they could do. I asked them to reimburse me the $76, and I would waive the cost of my ruined clothing items that I will not even be able to replace because they are from Japan. They refused to do so. Nancy, was incredibly rude and started to yell at me to leave the store. In which she called her husband. I spoke to him about the situation and sent him the pictures. They both continued to say they are not liable. I would never go back to this place and am astonished at their horrible business practices. Their rudeness and lack of responsibility. read more

I started bringing my dry cleaning here based on the favorable Yelp reviews. I was smitten after my first visit, and while smitten no longer applies it is still affordable, friendly, efficient and convenient. What made my first visit so endearing was the woman who greeted me at the counter. I introduced myself as new to the area. She smiled warmly and wanted to hear all about where I was from and why I was here. Then she offered to give me a tour of the facility. The tour included a description of how they clean shirts (ah, yes that's why I was here), how nicely they fold them so that they are ready to wear (er, of course I want them ready to wear) and how you can wear the first one, then the second one, and then the third one after they've been cleaned (not the third one, then the first one, then the second?). She was so charming and cheerful I was thrilled with my cleaner choice. I've been back several times since then and I've never had the same lady. That is my absolute only complaint. Like I said, the service is good, the prices are fair; they've been able to get some spots out of a very delicate shirt.... So I can't complain. I just keep hoping to see the cheerful cleaner at each visit. read more

I dropped my clothes at this dry cleaners since I was meeting my friend at Yuki Sushi for dinner. I dropped it off on Wednesday and picked it up on Friday. Four of my garments were nicely pressed. When I got home, I took my clothes out of the plastic and I'm glad that it didn't smell like chemicals or whatever dry cleaners use to dry clean. There were no stains on it either. Stay away if you don't want damaged items. Instead of putting a marker paper through a button hole or on the info tag inside the collar they write your name (misspelled in my case) on the inside of your shirt with what looks like Sharpie. So, to sum up, you send stuff to them to clean and instead they deliberately put permanent marker on your items. read more

I'm really dissapointed to write this review- after five years of patronizing Cedar Tree I have to move on. While the service is friendly and the prices are reasonable this isn't a great place to take shirts. Recently they also burnt the collar of several of my shirts. They have (as I mentioned in my previous review) continued to destroy my shirt buttons. Many of my shirts have very unique buttons that cannot be replaced from their stock. Before pulling the plug on my business I addressed this issue with the staff; I was assured it wouldn't happen again and sadly it did. There's no point in paying a buck and change to have your cleaner crush your buttons and burn your shirt. read more

Excellent results on the dry cleaning. I've had suits, coats, ties, even woolen scarves cleaned here and they come back fresh, clean and alive looking! I've had suits that looked old and frumpy come back like it was brand new. I'm sure they use a lot of solvents, so for your own health, take off the plastic covering from the clothes, hang it in the garage or laundry room for 2-3 days before actually wearing it (*in order that the solvents evaporate into air) Staff is attentive and will follow instructions carefully. One time I had some foodstuffs spilled on a nice tie, took it in, they cleaned it, but it wasn't just quite good enough - they gladly redid the tie and the second time it was absolutely spotless! This is the best dry cleaner I've been in the two and half years I've lived in California. They are on the pricey side, but they do a good job. I took my coffee-stained blazer in (caused by the Prolific Bakery girl who didn't secure the plastic top on the cup off extremely hot coffee) to have it dry cleaned and when i received it back, it was stainless! I have been to 2 other dry cleaners...the only other one that can compete with this one is the dry cleaning service the Cisco was using about 2 years ago (not sure who they were, but they were organic) Stay tuned for the next update, maybe they'll earn the 5th star! read more

Excellent results! I took 2 of my Hugo Boss dress shirts, 3 of my sweetie's dresses and a skirt here. It was scheduled for pick up 4 days later from drop off date and cost me $30. That breaks down to about $5/item which I'd say is ok. Shirts are only $1.20 which means dresses should cost more. Nonetheless I was happy with the overall service and experience. I have given my business to this dry cleaner for about 4 years between bringing in my work pants from Macy's to be hemmed to now having my dress cloths dry cleaned. The ladies do a great job getting me out quickly and even quicker when paying. Pricing isn't as clear as one might expect so to avoid any surprises just ask, they'll tell you and note it on your slip, otherwise by default yhey just notate how many pieces are dripped off, get your name and write down a due date and that's it. Turn around time feels average but again i never needed anything expedited but they can do so, based on conversations they've done had when I been coming or going. read more

I dropped off a shirt that I was 99% sure had a stain that was not going to go away...I explained to the lady that if it wasnt going to come out then just leave it and I will give that shirt a proper goodbye. She said she didnt know- and I said thats fine, just try. They tried so hard to remove the stain it melted the shirt. However- they didnt tell my boyfriend who picked it up- or left a note on it that they had done further damage. Annoying. For the 4 articles of dry cleaning it was $6.25 a piece. Two pairs of paints, one dress, and my poor shirt. Hmmmm...not expensive but not great. read more

I've been going here for several months and the service is generally alright. Go to pick up some shirts this morning (they supposedly open at 8), and they're closed. I waited until 8:30 and still no one showed up. Had to wear a dirty shirt to work and was late on top of it all. What kind of business is this? They don't show up when they say they are open. Will never go here again, do not recommend. Staff is generally nice, but if they can't maintain normal hours then they do not deserve to be in business. We love Cedar Tree. It is a normal part of our Saturday routine to go visit Nancy. She is always so pleasant and takes great care of us. I have had maybe one shirt gone bad there but no different than any other cleaners I have frequented for any amount of time. Prices are reasonable and even if they weren't , I am at that stage in life where customer service matters a lot. Does that make me old? They ruined my favorite piece of clothes - put a huge rusty stain on it somehow. When I found it at home and brought it back, they added two more yellow stains in other places and thinned out material in the first stained area to almost a hole (without taking a stain off). The worst thing - they didn't take responsibility for ruining my clothes, The lady at the counter does not speak English and the owner never called me back. I recommend only taking there the clothes that you don't mind throwing away. read more

I have to say I've been a long-time customer of cedar tree cleaners starting 2005 till now there were a few years in between when I didn't use them. I went there today and was definitely dissatisfied. I went to pick up my shirts and the lady behind the desk didn't speak one word of English. I asked her to find my shirts and she couldn't find them. It took her over 15 minutes to eventually find them. I then asked her to run my credit card because I had a meeting and had to leave and she didn't understand a word so extremely frustrating. I probably will never go back. I had a whole bunch of clothes to give her but couldn't because of her inexperience with the business as well as not understanding a word I said! I ended up leaving and quite disappointment and frustration! If you are going to run a business please have somebody who is working alone at the business speak English so that the other person can communicate with them! read more

expensive. i asked them to alter my dress to take the padding off the bust, and to shorten the hem. it's a jersey knit (ie, T-shirt) type dress, so very casual. they said it'd cost $15 plus $25 for the hem, more than i paid for the dress itself! i thought they'd just make a slit and remove the cups, but they said it was more complicated. i passed on the hemming, but let them take out the cups. it took 5 days. what the heck? i asked for it back on the 3rd day, thinking i'd just do it myself, and they said they sent it off somewhere to have it done. i got it back, and they removed the ruching that was at the empire waist....which now looks weird because the same ruching is still on the back (which i guess they didn't touch). they said sorry, and still charged me the $15. lame. read more

Have been getting dry cleaning done here for years without issue. Decided to have a brand new dress altered by them. When I picked it up and tried it on i could not get zipper up by myself, not because it does not fit because it now sticks, which it did not before. The stitching is sloppy and the thread from the original stictching is still there, all torn apart. The worst part was that one shoulder strap was completely uneven and there was a new stain on the chest. I took my dress back to them and showed them the strap and the stain and asked for them to fix it. I picked up my dress today. Strap was fixed but the stain is still there. The lady barely spoke english but kept repeating "I told Nancy, she did not put stain there". I know it was not there when i dropped it off, however lets say I was wrong at it was. Its a dry cleaning business. The customer has already had to return the garment to you to fix your mistake. A complimentry dry cleaning might be nice to make your customer happy. Guess they would prefer not to have my business. As a side note, when i picked up my dress the first time I had parked next to a van with 2 yappy dogs in it. While I was inside I noticed a man going to that van to get peoples "clean" clothes and bringing them into the store. I thought that was gross and unprofessional. Just my opinion. read more

The ladies who run this place are so nice. Nancy speaks a bit better English than Kim but they always greet you so cheerfully with a smile and always remember your name. They've had to raise their prices a bit over the years but that's to be expected, considering everything around there is increasing in price--I'm just glad they're still in business. There was a bit of a hiccup in the past a couple years back when some shirts we sent in had damaged buttons (which Nancy and Kim of course replaced for free), but they've apparently ditched the old laundering place they were sending it out to and the new place has kept our shirts (and buttons) very nice. Great with alterations too; love that they can keep my original hem when I hem up my jeans. They do send out for dry cleaning too; the dry cleaner they use can't always get the tougher, more stubborn stains out (I'd say they usually can do it 9 out of 10 times), but I do appreciate them trying--it's usually with the more delicate material, and I think they are afraid of damaging it if they try any harder. At least they're nice enough to still iron/press it for me. Will keep coming back for all my cleaning and alteration needs. :) read more
