Kids play area. Important for parents with toddlers
    Robbie S.

Love the ambiance and the "homey" feel of this place. It's like walking into a well-designed craftsman home and the open floor plan and spacing is great for a play date, work area, or even a grab and go. Parking is limited to street parking. There is an area for little kids to play inside complete with some toys. The stoneware mugs are cute and you can purchase your own. The staff was friendly enough but there is not really anything in the way of protein rich food (except the quiche). Need to go back and try some other things but so far it's a win in my book

If you love the feeling of having a delicious cup of coffee, warm muffin in a cozy home, this is the place for you. So much seating to come and get work done or to hangout with family and friends. They have a cozy spot for you to bring your kids to play on the rug area. We'll be returning.

Cute little coffee shop located in orange. There's street parking but I wasn't sure if we were allowed to park on the streets, because there were signs that said no parking. So, I decided to walk to the nearby train station where you can park for free as well! The coffee here is good and service is great! It felt like I was walking into someone's home. Great place to chat, study, and hangout!

I love this coffee shop because of the vibes inside. Parking is hard to find if you're trying to park in the neighborhood (a lot of the closer streets are permit only), but you can park at the train station or the parking structure by Orange Circle. They only have one size for drinks and its pretty small so I think they are a little overpriced. The matcha had a very vibrant color but it would be nice if it had more matcha flavor. There is a prayer room and childrens play area too so it's family friendly.

Delicious almond croissant and my iced Americano. :)

This has become one of my favorite cafes to go to. It feels so warm and welcoming inside. It can get pretty busy but for good reason! The coffee is gooood. I usually buy an americano or a latte. The almond croissant is my go-to pastry! There is a lot of seating due to having places in front, inside and out back! I also noticed a lot of space for little kids to play which I think is great for parents with toddlers/babies. I'll say the only challenge may be for parking but I find that parking at the train station lot for free is nice. Also some of the neighborhood streets work (but pay attention to street sweeping days). Or if you'd like to get a nice little walk beforehand just part down the street at the parking garage. Only a few min walk.

Super cute coffee house. Their matcha latte was decent and there is only one size for their drinks and the price was pretty steep in my opinion for what you get. The service was super friendly and welcoming. They have an area for kids to play which is amazing as I'm a mother. The only suggestion I would make as a mom, I would try to maintain the toy area. I know it's not a daycare. However, there were broken toys which is not safe and could be a liability and the outside area could use some tidying up. It was pretty dirty and not as appealing as the rest of the place. Again, I know it's not a daycare but if you're going to offer areas for babies, toddlers and kids this might be something to consider.

Coffee shop like no other. So many beautiful details make the space so unique, welcoming and peaceful. Loved the matcha, lemonade and quiche Lorraine. Wish I took a pic before eating the quiche because it was so delicious. I especially love that the coffee shop is rooted in faith and has a special prayer room in the back. Must try CedarHouse when you're in Orange. Will definitely come back!

A Victorian Coffee House with a cozy vibe and outdoor patio. Plenty of seating for those wanting to hangout and enjoy your coffee. The staff is friendly and fast with their service. I ordered the Salted Maple Latte which was rich, smooth and creamy. This is definitely a good place to try out, I highly recommend it.

I've been passing this place regularly on my commute to work and didn't even realize it was a coffee shop until I searched for local cafes near me! It's such a cute place!!! The outside patio is spacious and decorated in a way that doesn't make it feel like you're sitting right on the street. The inside is very spacious but so cozy; it feels like you're inside somebody's home. There's plenty of cozy sofas to lounge in or tables to work at and they're all spaced out nicely. The girls at the counter were so hospitable and friendly, very easy to chat with. The passionfruit kouign-amann was great and so were the lattes. I got vanilla on the side but didn't even need it as the latte tasted great on it's own. I do wish their sizes matched their prices, though. The cups were tiny, but the prices were standard cafe prices.

The below review is given based on a Saturday morning visit (may vary based on day/time): Coffee shop designed like the interior of a house gives it a very community feeling. but these baristas be yapping which I guess is nice for the community, not so nice if you want a quick coffee fix bc the line is subsequently out the door. Yapping to each other yapping to the customers bruh I'm just tryna get my brown butter latte. Now to the positives: house made syrups, and good interior vibes and seating. Overall, if you got some time to kill on a Saturday to meet w a friend or something, Good for that. Would be difficult to be a regular here I paid 7.50 for this tiny lil thang I think 12oz cup. Also idk about a place to do work, kinda loud with all the yapping LOL also just kinda crowded in general

The cutest coffee shop near old town Orange. Deliciously fresh coffee, the coziest ambiance, friendly staff and plenty of seating both indoors and out. I tried their hot drip coffee with seasonal Salted Maple house made syrup - the coffee was incredibly smooth but also strong - just perfect! Highly recommend stopping in to tru their delicious coffee! *Parking Note* - there are 3-4 "1 hour parking," spots located on the side street closest to the coffee shop, other than these all nearby street parking is permit only, there is public parking at the train station just a few minutes walk away as well as a parking structure a little further down the street (closer to the Orange circle itself)

CedarHouse is a cute coffee shop that's just outside the hustle & bustle of the Orange Circle (a couple blocks away). They offer a straightforward coffee menu, a few pastry options and have some merch for sale - handcrafted mugs, whole beans. The space itself is spacious and I constantly see it full with students, people working/studying and lots of mom & baby meet up groups. + shop is located in a renovated craftsman home + ample seating inside & outdoor + I believe it's part of a church or church community (they have a private prayer room) + friendly staff + they don't offer any house crafted drinks - but have a variety of syrups if you're looking for something sweet - as others have mentioned, the parking is a challenge (street only) & the drinks run on the smaller side

Cute and unique coffee shop that looks like a home in a residential neighborhood. Lots of seating indoors and in the front and back patio, and perfect spot to meet with friends or work and study. We went on a Saturday morning and it was lively but there was still plenty of seating and the noise level wasn't too high. We didn't stay long so we parked on Pixley, the street right next to the shop, but beware they are strict with parking, so if you plan to stay a while I recommend parking in the train station lot!

Getting oat milk (or any non-dairy) steamed properly is rarer than it should be, but here it comes out perfectly frothy without a hint of that bitter, scorched taste. Huge win. I got the shaken maple latte and honestly? It was a standout drink. Citrusy, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet -- not cloying, not subtle, just balanced. The kind of drink you think about on the drive home. The coffee itself is solid and the craft is clearly there. My only gripe: the prices are a little steep. $8 for a latte adds up fast, especially if you're grabbing drinks for a group. This is firmly a "treat yourself solo" kind of spot rather than a "let me get the whole friend group a round" situation. Go for the experience, enjoy the quality, and maybe leave the group chat at home.

Additionally, the staff was a little moody for my taste. I got decent service but staff were frowning and not having a good time. Maybe I visited on an off-day? However, the shop wasn't busy nor were customers being unpleasant. I just think the band of baristas needed a social check-in. Still, I decided to give this place a second chance (no angry neighbor this time), and I was glad I did! PARKING: There's street parking around the neighborhood - I parked on Almond Ave so I wasn't in front of a house. The spots right outside the shop were 30 minute only. If you can't find parking there's probably tons as you go east if you're willing to walk. WHAT I ORDERED: Pistachio cream cold brew THE DRINK: Amazing. I've had my share of acidic or bitter cold brews, and this was not one of them. The cream was perfectly sweetened and flavored . SERVICE: Exceeded my expectations. The baristas when I came in were very bubbly and answered my questions and gave me suggestions, and were funny too! I wish I got their names, but they were working on Monday early afternoon - I hope they get some recognition. We also got some samples of the food items (which may have swayed me to get the turkey panini next time I come in). Even with the experience I had above a while back ago, I remember going in to let the baristas know and they were very understanding and apologetic, which I really appreciated. VIBES: Probably one of the top coffee shops to get work done in OC. Here's my work-from-coffee-shop checklist: * OUTLETS: So many. Not at the tables downstairs but in the private rooms and at a lot of the seating upstairs. * WIFI/INTERNET: Yes, good speed * BATHROOMS: Yes, clean * WATER: You can ask for free water * VOLUME: Music was a little bit loud but not terrible * SEATING AVAILABILITY: Lotsssss of seats when I came on a Monday late morning-afternoon. Very cool that there were private rooms (which can be reserved two hours in advance if you call them), tables, bar-style seating upstairs, and most importantly, comfy couches!! * LAPTOP FRIENDLINESS: No restrictions BOTTOM LINE: I can't believe I almost missed out on this gem. I'll be back soon!

Unfortunately, this visit was one disappointment after another. We arrived at 8:30 a.m. hoping for a peaceful coffee-and-breakfast morning. Instead, we accidentally wandered into what felt like a Janis Joplin tribute concert. The music was blasting at nightclub volume--not exactly the relaxing start to the day we had in mind. But surprisingly... that wasn't even the worst part. The food was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and the potatoes were still raw--hard enough to remind me they were once part of the ground.. My husband ordered the French toast, which looked suspiciously like it took a quick detour from Trader Joe's frozen aisle before landing on our table. There's nothing wrong with frozen French toast... unless you're charging $14 and calling it brunch. Another friend ordered the granola with berries. After a few bites, he gave it a skeptical look, pushed the bowl away, and decided breakfast simply wasn't worth the gamble. The coffee was decent , but honestly wasn't worth fighting the neighbors for a parking spot!

I'm certain my next visit will be fantastic - I'll be posting an update in the near future. Wow - So Disappointed! Rekindle was at the Taste of Orange this year and I enjoyed one of the Italian sandwich samples they were handing out. It was fantastic! We met the owner - she was very charismatic and charming. Today we stopped by to grab an Italian sandwich, and I just cannot believe they served me bread that was so old and dry - it would have been perfect for croutons, but definitely nothing like what we had at the Taste of Orange. The bread was so dry I had to dress it up with some olive relish to eat it - I don't expect when I pay $31 for a sandwich and chai iced tea latte to get home and have to start working on my sandwich. I accept some responsibility for this, because honestly, who goes to a coffee shop for a sandwich.
