the pictures need updating, i liked the school but it was very gloomy inside. I think my child is too active for this school.

I have to start by saying I loved this center for the first two years my child attended. We knew…read morethe kids were learning and my child enjoyed being there. The staff was like a big family and were very good with the children and parents. We knew everyone and they all knew us. Last fall (2010) things started to get really bad. Our child was set to start Pre-K. The center was not approved for state funded Pre-K. The owner(s) waited until the last minute to advise parents. Many parents had a very hard time finding slots elsewhere. We chose to keep our child in familiar surroundings and paid for private Pre-K at the center. Then sometime early this year the owners changed. Since then the staff turnover is unlike anything I have ever seen. With each week people are leaving and new people are watching your kids. There is a constant influx of new caregivers who do not have the same dedication. I am uncomfortable leaving my child with a stranger every week, kids need stability and familiarity. Unfortunately the family atmosphere no longer exist. They cut the breakfast hours back so they don't have to feed the children that come in later (between 8 & 9am). This place is no longer a learning center, it's more like a bunch of babysitters. They don't report incidents or have any interest in interacting with the children. They sit on the sidelines while the children play amongst themselves. For what they are charging there should be more structured activity, right now my child is just being watched and fed but little else. On several occasions I have requested a meeting with the owners over unreported incidents and have not received so much as a return phone call. We are taking our child out and will look for better care elsewhere. I would advise parents who want QUALITY childcare to pass on this center. This is not a learning environment. It's a poorly run business. They should be able to retain their employees. You never know who is there when you show up to drop your child off. The site director/administrator is clueless and tactless. She lacks people skills and is always on the defense, her take is that the center is always right. I don't subscribe to teeth sucking and eye rolling from the people I pay for a service. There is a lot more that I could add to my review but won't. Google the following and see for yourself - Mundy's Mill Learning Center, Bright Star Learning Center, World Class Childcare they are all the same place. Kind of telling huh? In the past year this place has been run into the ground by a string of owners. Hopefully whoever reads this takes heed and will avoid the frustration and confusion that is commonplace at this center. Anyone who drives past this place regularly will notice how empty the parking lot is these days. Pick up and drop off time used to bustle, now it's a trickle of parents and kids.

The director, Ms. Kris Cucuru, is unprofessional, dishonest, and poorly trained herself. She was often dressed quite sloppily (skirts too high and necklines too low) and projected a slovenly appearance. The owner, Ms. Cindy, was aloof and barely spoke to parents, perhaps out of disinterest or possibly out of timidity. The operation of the center was disorganized, which resulted in my children frequently losing articles of clothing during the multiple transfers from one classroom to another. My son would come home with bruises, cuts, scrapes, and scratches with little to no explanation or formal documentation of the incidents (as is the protocol at other centers). The only plus to the center was the extended care and that they did attempt to have festive activities for the children around the holidays. For the amount of tuition required, this center leaves a lot to be desired. If you are an active or concerned parent, I would advise you to stay away from this one and Crestwood Academy up the street. You certainly have much better and affordable options for quality care elsewhere.
