We all felt the exact same when leaving: when can we come back?? I loved my room. I loved how updated it was from my previous visit. I loved how much care went into every single aspect of our stay. They are so incredibly good to my family. They, of course, treat one-time visitors amazingly; but they treated my family -- and my father -- like royalty. You can tell they really value loyalty, and go above and beyond to ensure you want -- no, NEED -- to come back again and again. Aside from the five-star treatment, the location is perfect. It's easy to get into town (you can walk or taxi there). I love going into town once or twice during my stays to get some souvenirs and bring back a stacked sandwich to eat on my day bed while overlooking the water. BUT, you could never go into town and have just as good of a visit. Every day for lunch, I had the same thing: chicken Caesar salad with a mojito. I'm surprised I didn't turn into a chicken Caesar salad mojito mashup. Everything -- the food, the drinks, the service -- was five stars. The outdoor bar and eating area is the child of an even more complex restaurant built above and into the cliffs that create the cove. They provide an in depth dining and wine menu. The Cala Luna dinner restaurant, outdoor and romantically overlooking the sea, is of Michelin Star quality. The only element which exceeds the high quality management, maitre d and staff is the absolutely remarkable Chef Pandolfo. His intricate creations celebrating Sicily are meals to savor and enjoy in the memories of your finest of dining experiences. He is well deserving of every accolade received to date. This was entirely unplanned and foreshadowed how amazing our time in Cefalù would be in no short order due to Federico's recommendations and the network of folks he knows in this small beach town. He is the epitome of "I know a guy"-ism in the greatest way imaginable. He gave us a list of ten restaurants to try and we went to one for each meal except one (and this was only because we wanted to try a new place for every meal and some restaurants are closed on certain days). Every single restaurant and cafe he recommended was incredible (this isn't hyperbole, literally every single one) and offered a unique insight in to Sicilian cuisine. He helped us get reservations when we needed them and provided recommendations for our other non-food related activities. The hotel itself is well situated and anywhere within the town is easily walkable and it also has a lovely view of the duomo. The rooms are exactly what we wanted since we'd be spending most of our time exploring the area. It is also a great launching point to start the day since the Bar Duomo cafe is right next door where you can get a sweet and/or savory breakfast and coffee and a great spot for aperitivo or desserts whenever you want. I can't stress enough how much Federico maximized our enjoyment of our trip. We will only stay at an establishment that he operates whenever we visit Cefalù in the future.

We had a nice room with balkony and a direct view onto the mediterranean sea. The room was equipped with an aircon, a mini bar, flat TV, a safe, and has a broad bed. Everything was in good condition. Also the bathroom with its combined bathtub/shower was fine, there was nothing to complain about. The dedicated room service cared for a tidy and clean room every day. The very spacious designed hotel lobby offered plenty of seating, even on the terrace. The seating is very comfortable. The bar offers a wide range of different drinks. There is free WiFi in the lobby, but not on the hotel rooms. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner was served in large halls with a huge amount of tables on the lower floor of the hotel building. Due to the size of these halls and plenties of guests it was often very noisy. The breakfast buffet was a little unimaginative and lacks in varity. In addition, its arrangement was confusing and required long walks until I had everything on the meal tray what I needed. However, both the lunch, but above all the dinner was of good to very good quality. There was always a very varied range of food provided: a salad buffet, antipasti, different pasta, fish, seafood, meat, vegetarian food, delicious desserts, etc. There was something for everyone, and it tasted very good. Also the dedicated service staff has been on the ball and cares for a pleasant stay. Who wanted some varity could reserve a table in the hotel's restaurant, located down near the beach, which offered a different á la carte menu every day. The hotel offers three swimming pools: two open air, and one indoor. As far as I can assess it, was everything in a good technical condition and very clean. What I liked very much: It is not allowed to reserve the sun loungers, e.g. with a towel. First come, first serve. In addition, the hotel has its own beach with numerous sun loungers on the Mediterranean. The beach is unfortunately a bit stony, therefore bath shoes are appropriate. There are also very nice beaches in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, for example in Cefalù, just a few kilometers away. Also a few kilometers away is also a supermarket ("Conad") in Campofelice di Roccella. Basically this hotel is also very good for excursions, if one has a car. You can reach Palermo in less than an hour. My tip is the visit of Monreale, a small town in the province of Palermo, on the slope of Monte Caputo. A visit of the cathedral of Monreale (Santa Maria Nuova), one of the greatest extant examples of Norman architecture in the world, is a must! This building with its impressive glass mosaics covering the interior (approx. 6.500 qm) is simply breathtaking. All in all we enjoyed this holiday very much and the hotel has earned four stars.

Also this is a family resort, seemed to be a mix of couples and families. The pool gets very loud with kids. (I didn't want to write that) as I love kids, though it's important for newlyweds, as the hotels website looks more romantic.
