I absolutely hate the background on these lacrosse pics - you can see the posters and the principles office in the background... how quaint. One of the players even had a random person walking in her background. I mean seriously, at least drop an outdoor scene or stadium into the background - it's not hard! At no time EVER should an outdoor sports team have their pics taken indoors. I reluctantly ordered but if this type of shoddy photography continues, I won't ever order from you again. Do Better! update - they called me back and said that the coach did call and said that the weather might not be great and if that's the case, shoot them indoors... but what your photography FAILED to use is use reasoning. It wasn't raining. The weather was actually pretty nice but they shot them indoors anyway. They just took the easy way out and didn't put in any effort.

The owner was great and super understanding, he had gotten more prints overnighted and then BROUGHT THEM TO OUR HOUSE to drop them off in person to avoid any further issue! She has since taken professional photos of myself and coworkers for my "day job", shot my wedding (marriage didn't work out, but boy were the photo's beautiful), took some family photos for my parent's 50th, and now has taken some photos for use on a new website I am creating for my retirement gig - my profile yelp picture was taken by Sally. Like the other reviewers, I do not particularly enjoy having my photo taken, but Sally always makes it fun and the photos that she gets as a result of her ability to make her subjects feel at ease are phenomenal. She also has great, creative ideas and is willing to do almost anything to get the perfect shot - from trudging out onto a frozen lake Minnetonka as mentioned by one reviewer, to showing up at my farm ready and willing to climb into pig pens to take photos of piglets. (Well, maybe not so "ready" - the sparkly flip flops had to go...But once I had her in some waders, she was unstoppable). I can and do recommend her highly to anyone looking for a photographer. She was very easy to work with, took exactly the type of shots we wanted (mostly candids/semi-formal shots with some posed portraits, and artistic detail shots), and wore a smile the whole time! She had excellent ideas and suggestions for shots and was open to our suggestions. She also captures photos you have no idea she's taking. For example, she got an aerial shot of our wedding ceremony--which was only about 20 minutes long and she still had time to capture all of the rest of it. Amanda was recommended to us by a friend whose wedding she photographed, and we are so happy to have picked her as our wedding photographer. Our pictures are beautiful and excellent quality. We've gotten tons of compliments on them. I would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in the Twin Cities and outer suburbs area.
