The artwork, memorializing former councilman Walt Wood, symbolizes the concept of possibility. The unique piece is bordered by greenery and a concrete ledge visitors can sit along, bumblebees pollinating the beautiful flowers surrounding the sculpture when I stopped by to check it out recently. The library parking lot can be used for event parking when Main Street is closed for street festivals and the like, which is what brought me here this past weekend.

this unnamed structure is next to a parking lot adjacent to an office building that is one of many…read moresurrounding Stoneridge Mall, a destination shopping center. there isn't any noticeable signage who is the creator nor the meaning intended. the meaning changes depending on which degree on the circular perimeter a viewer is standing. each degree emits a different meaning. one degree shows an intermingling of forces with an arrow pointing upwards the sky. another degree suggests an evolving interaction of of 2 or more objects. viewing same structure while stationary or moving and clockwise or counter clockwise has dissimilar conclusions. this structure could be imitating life forces or occurences in nature, space or ...infinite possibilities...

A parking lot is available with not too far of a walk to this unique curved row of fountains. Water flows from the steel plates in waves, creating a lovely pattern in the middle of the lake, its interaction with wind and light intended to create an effect that can be both seen and heard. The artist, Ned Kahn, is known for utilizing wind and water in his artworks, this one definitely engaging. There's seating nearby as well, making it a lovely place to relax.
