Seven days later, I left intensive care -- much healthier and on dialysis. One of the three doctors responsible for saving my life recommended the Florida Dialysis Center of Celebration for continuing treatment. Leary that any dialysis center could equal my excellent hospital care, I accepted the recommendation, and five weeks ago, I showed up in the Florida Dialysis Center's lobby. The next door I walked through made me feel like a kid walking into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory! I walked into a beautiful, bright, clean, neat, quiet, high-tech, massive room with twelve recliner chairs, a personal TV at every station, a lab, a control center, and wooden floors that I wish were in my own home. While taking all this in, I found more! The doctors, nurses, and staff are almost beyond measure -- highly-qualified, dedicated, super-friendly, and truly caring about my wellbeing. I felt that I was inside a five-star hotel where my known and unknown needs -- from nutrition counseling to doctor consultations and dialysis medicines to a myriad of amenities -- are all met right at my massage chair. Thank you to everyone who helped restore me to that place where I am now, including Dr. Amr El Toukhy, Dr. Anil Navani, Danielle, Yvette, Santana, Frances, Sammy, JoJo, Roshni, Yumi, Rose, Brenda, and Mary (and the rest of the group, whose names I have yet to memorize). Whether you are on vacation or needing a more permanent destination, I highly recommend the Florida Dialysis Center of Celebration. Beyond that standard-looking lobby door, a big, new adventure awaits!

There is a separate emergency entrance from the ambulance entrance with some pretty healthy security. We got through it fairly easily and were able to walk right up to the check-in counter. I was with my kid and they were having some problems that were causing some heart issues. We explained that and they took us straight back. They were put in a room and a bunch of tests were run. They were hooked up to a juice bag or what you would call saline. While we were there, we met with a couple of nurses and two different doctors. After spending several hours there they were feeling marginally better and were released with the idea that they would see their regular doctor in the next day or so. While we were there, we were very well treated and everyone tried to be very friendly and helpful. As emergency rooms go for us. This was one of the better ones. Thankfully, we did not have to spend any time upstairs in the hospital itself.

I've been going here for about 6 months and I've gotten the feel out of how things work here. Most of techs are great! And the nurses are absolutely fantastic! They are not the problem with this facility it's the people behind the closed doors in there offices, social workers do zero help to try to help you in what you need. And doctors don't visit as often due to the lack of importance I don't know who is who and who does what. Where I'm from originally, the social workers office was accessible, you could go up and knock on the door and tell them if your planning a trip or if you won't be in for a treatment to reschedule and etc. a LOT falls thru the cracks like my flu shot... it's now January and it was on back order I guess because they run out of supplies a LOT as well. Anyways I never did get my flu shot I had to go back on holiday back in my home town to get one because I'm not paying a Dr here $60 for a appointment and a flu shot. I just don't know what this place can do to even improve also if you have fluid overload they also cannot help you... they will only do whatever there magic BS NUMBER they come up with that's what they take off they suggest a extra treatment other then just taking off the fluid in that 1 treatment. Not exactly helpful more like a nice way to keep that money coming in.
