I had an idea and reached out to Mary Ann in February. We met to discuss the design based on an inspiration photo I had along with pictures where the piece would be placed. She provided an estimate, advising it might change based on the final design. She was also upfront about the process and timing. What an absolute pleasure it was to work with Mary Ann! She is a true artist and a master of her craft. She's also just generally very pleasant! I have an old 1929 Spanish colonial home that I wanted to spruce up with leaded glass windows. She started with an on-site visit to measure the windows and give a general consultation, in order to give me a price quote. She even made recommendations on how to keep the price down by using stock glass pieces instead of custom making all the glass pieces. Mary Ann was very communicative during the whole design and production process. I would get text messages of photos, without even asking for a progress report. I'm so happy with my windows. Mary Ann Celinder, the owner of Celinder Glass in Huntington Beach, is a true artist. She made custom beveled diamond glass panels that were placed up against the inside of my windows. Rather than replace the existing glass, they are installed inside and pressed up against the glass. With a custom install job by Tom at Huntington Beach Glass & Mirror, it looks like it was built that way. Tom is an outstanding glass installer. He not installed the glass, but cut out framing around it so that it looks like it came with the home. Mary Ann Celinder is fair in her pricing. All of this work is done by hand, and takes time to do it right. She has been working with Tom for many years, so I recommend that you allow him to install the windows too. Tom is also very fair in his pricing, and he is also very talented. Mary Ann Celinder made a custom half-circle and beveled panels for the other windows. Because of the lead, they are quite heavy. This art work dramatically changed the "feel" of my house. You can't help but stare at it. I give her 10 stars (and Tom at Huntington Beach Glass as well). At night, when the lights are inside the home, you can see the dazzling sparkle of these beveled panels. It is absolutely beautiful. This is old-world art, and vanishing because people get their stuff from Home Depot. You can buy something cheap, or you can get the real deal, and never stop admiring the stunning beauty of these windows. read more

We had a pink-ish Tiffany lamp shade that was over 30 years old and a few of the panels and metal spokes broke during a move. The original manufacturer of the stain glass had long been closed. Mary Ann was able to source nearly the identical glass after all these years and repair the shade and spokes and a few of the smaller pieces as well. Mary Ann is the BEST! Not only is she super creative, knowledgeable, she was very patient. It was a big decision for us to choose the right glass design for our two corner cabinet doors in the kitchen. We wanted it to mean something to us. Mary Ann helped us design the perfect glass for our doors. She also told us exactly what to tell the contractor (who was clueless) how the door needed to be made in order to hold the beautiful creation she made. She also delivered early which is unheard of in the industry. At the end, she had me drop off the two doors and she installed the glass herself. I am SO happy with the completed project in my home! I needed two long glass rectangular panels created for my front entrance to create privacy and also add a bit of glam :) My initial process started by email, requesting a quote based on my measurements. Buyer beware of unprofessional business practices and lack of creativity. Owner made an affordable quote, and required a $400 deposit to start the project. However, the price went up as the design was developed. I gave plenty of photos and color schemes, to give her an idea, but her designs needed constant adjustment. For example, I requested a country cottage in the scene and she came back with a rectangle and two squares in it for windows! Frustrated with the lack of understanding, child-like designs, complaints that it was getting too hard, and hints of raising the price a third time, I threw in the towel to cancel. We had also discussed her cancellation policy at the start. She stated she would only retain a $175 fee for the development of a transom if we decided to cancel. When we couldn't get the transom right, we cancelled. She refused to return the balance, keeping the entire $400 deposit because of "all the work" she put into it. read more
