Had a phone a few years ago, that the battery swelled after I dropped it. These guys came to my rescue and replaced the battery. I still had their business card in my wallet. So my old phone hadn't been charging since before Christmas. (Seriously at a loss, because that has all my contacts and photos of the family). Stopped after work and ask to have the battery replaced. Kevin stopped me and ask me if I was sure it was the battery. Well I wasn't sure but it wouldn't charge. Kevin asks if I mind if he checks the phone. No, I don't mind but I thought it was the battery. He plugs in a charger. It starts to charge!!!!! Seriously, I wanted to cry tears of joy. My favorite phone needed a new charger and he cleaned out where the plug goes in the bottom because it was dusty. I sat and chatted with the one of the customers. And got a chance to tell tthe employees about my previous experience with the great service and even better prices. My phone got up to 15%, I thanked them again and left with a phone that was charging again, a new charging cord and all for under $20.00. Folks, you have no idea how very grateful I am to Kevin for all the help. Please before you go to some pricey shop that is out of make a boat load of cash off quotas, Stop by the Cell Phone Fix-ER in Clifton Park, they are to the right of the main entrance. I feel compelled to write this review even though I never bought anything. That's how good my experience was. I emailed these folks about a quote broken screen replacement for my Moto G7. They unfortunately did not service my particular phone, but instead they pointed me to a reputable dealer where I could order my own parts. This is in sharp contrast to every other repair shop I had contacted today that either quoted me an outrageous amount or just refused to help me at all. This is how you do business and this is how you build a reputation within the community. I then sent my partner to these guys to get her iPhone battery replaced and they were professional, efficient, and the price was more than fair. Highly recommended! read more

Took my Iphone 6 to the Apple store at Crossgates because it would not charge. The Apple tech ran diagnostics and told me it was not a problem with the 6 year old battery but rather, the internal electronics were shot and would not let the battery take a charge. He said I would need to buy a new phone. The next day I took the phone to Cell Phone Fix-Er Latham store, and relayed what Apple told me. New diagnostics were performed, the battery was replaced, and I was on my way in a half hour with a fully functioning phone. And the new battery does take the charge. We took a dying Galaxy S6 for a battery replacement, tune-up to Kevin at Cell Phone Fix-ER today. What a well run, pleasant and technically competent business we encountered. The phone was completely examined for all issues and the battery replaced. The cost was the same as another nearby kiosk that was obviously inept and less than average technically. Kevin gave our phone a thorough examination and replaced the battery at a lower cost than originally quoted. Don't bother with any other cell repair business in the Capitol area. The folks here are so nice and helpful. Instead of immediately trying to upsell you, they go through your options. I was in for screen replacement on my iPhone 7 and it was a great experience. They fixed my phone in under an hour, and the new screen includes a warranty (bonus: they put your info in their system, so no need to keep track of the receipt!). While I was there, a few people stopped in because their charge port wasn't working, and staff made sure to check for dust in the port before needlessly replacing it. Brought my 5s in, screen repaired. I went to every place in the area. These guys were best priced and offer 90 day warranties on the screens. Can't go wrong. Everything has been fine 2+weeks later. Definitely quality parts and defiantly worth checking them out. Wait time was under 30 minutes for repair. April 2017: I was so frustrated with my slow, possessed, malware laden computer which had way too many issues. I had never needed a repair but this place saved my college son's phone! It only took a few hours and was less than $120. He had never backed up his phone and car ran over it- screen destroyed, wouldn't work but they recovered everything and repaired the phone screen like new!! These guys are miracle workers. The service was incredibly expedited, and the gentleman I dealt with was very professional. Went today to their Clifton Park store to have them look at my iPhone 12 since the cables were not able to fit into the charging port. I went to the Latham location on Newton Plaza with an iPad that did not charge because it had a small piece stuck in the charging port. They fixed it in a few minutes and did not charge me anything.
