I like the former because I can pay for gas through the BP app without whipping out my credit card. Sadly, I couldn't log in to my BP account in late September. The site was being annoying and wasn't authenticating properly. Instead, I hit this Speedway. Speedway also has an app, but you can't pay for gas on it. You can scan your app's QR code for your rewards at the pump. On the rare occasion that the QR code doesn't scan properly, you can submit your receipt on the app and it works well. I've been to this gas station a few times now. I never have an issue finding an available gas station. Filling up has always been smooth. It's also impeccably clean. This Speedway has a convenience store. I have yet to set foot in it. I was here a couple of weeks ago. It was unseasonably hot. Seeing firewood in front of me felt weird. It's perfect if you need logs for your fireplace to get some here. The location is decent. It's off Cedar Avenue, which is convenient. It's also close to where I normally stay in Bloomington, near Mall of America. It's a good gas station. (410)

There is black mold everywhere, nothing has been cleaned, the grills where they prepare food is never cleaned and there is spills and stains everywhere. I've stopped into this speedway many times on my way through Mound, MN and every time I've stopped in I've felt like I need a bath. I'll save you from the photos but the 5 times I've been here the bathrooms have never had soap, there is E. coli rings around outside and inside of the toilets. The layer of pee on the toilet and the floor is so thick if you need to use the bathroom you have no choice but to walk on it and deal with the strong ammonia smell. God forbid attempting to sit on that feeces and blood stained toilet: there is so much rust, rot, mold and roaches visible it's hard to believe this place is still open! LET ALONE SERVING FOOD!! I hardly ever write a bad review but I couldn't stand going in here anymore. This place needs to be shut down and remodeled completely. It's beyond a health hazard at this point.

However, nothing happened other than a close call, and the man, clearly known to the manager Kai, went to the register, very friendly to him, laughing and chatting, and then left the store. I then went to the register to check out and reported it to Kai. I even used the word threatened. He just said something like "awwww" but did nothing about it and didn't offer to report the incident. Kai normally is very friendly. Perhaps he does not realize what he needed to do if a customer reports feeling threatened under his watch. But I will not be going there again. UPDATE--I called Kai at the store and calmly explained the situation again. He apologized, but said if it is something "between customers" he does not get in the middle of it. I asked why, if he was manager on duty, that he would allow such activity in the store. He stated he misunderstood, and thought it was in the "parking lot," which, even if it had been, would in my view have been under his jurisdiction to intervene if needed. I told him I would not be back.

Bathrooms are usually clean and as stated on another review, it's nice to have restroom stalls that are private and don't put your business on display. Staff is accommodating and nice and always happy to see you next time. One note about leaving, if you are going west, certain times of the day make it quite difficult to pull out on to 12. It may be worth taking the road behind the store and heading to one of the intersections with a traffic light.
