He is always up to speed on the latest info and takes the time to explain how he is going to help you. He actively listens to you and takes as long as needed to address the problem areas. After my first visit my back pain subsided and after several visits its been almost non existent. Its great to have this facility nearby and to be run by doctors that care - for example after i had a weird neck pain that caused some numbness i was worried and about to go to the ER, I called Kyle and he called me back after-hours to talk me through it. I thought I was meeting with a chiropractor I had seen the previous year. The nurse said he left the practice. I would meet with the Physical Medicine Physician on staff. I waited a half hour. I explained my symptoms to the Doctor - pain in my neck, and shoulder that went down my arm. He said I needed XRays and prescribed prednisone. He wanted me to come back to see him a week later. The nurse said she would call in the prescription to my pharmacy in Westerville and confirmed the details. My pharmacy never received it. This office is closed on Friday so I called Monday. No one answered. I left 2 messages about the prescription. Never received a call back. I called again on Tuesday - got the answering machine again. Left another message about the prescription not being called into CVS. (5 days later). I never heard back from them. Later in the day I called and canceled my f/u appointment via voicemail. What was the point of going back? Not sure what is going on there, but not responding to calls from a patient about never receiving a prescription is dangerous. It seems like they don't really care.

What always astounds me is his capacity to listen to me. He is like Sherlock Holmes but instead of solving murders he solves medical mysteries. He listened to me complain about pain from shoulder up my neck to the back of my ear and he said it sounded like a whiplash injury. That's exactly what it was! Hit by a truck while walking across the crosswalk at Meijer on Hamilton Rd back in March of 2025. Was referred to Dr Manocha at his office in Newark shortly thereafter. Took weeks to get in due to poor communication on his staff's part. I was specifically told that I needed to get the imaging done, and then after Dr. Manocha looked at it he would call me to let me know what was going on and to schedule an appointment (this is relevant later). Was sent to get imaging done about 40 minutes away, but couldn't schedule it for over a month because Dr Manocha wouldn't send the correct paperwork and the office I was getting imaging done from had to get directly involved. I went for my imaging And then waited about a week for the doctor to call me, this never happened. I spent the next couple months calling Dr. Manocha and leaving voicemails without ever getting a response until I eventually just gave up. Fast-forward to three weeks ago, I received a text message telling me that I owed his office $75. I called again to dispute this because I was not going to pay $75 for a Doctor who refused to actually be a doctor. I never received a response. Fast forward again to this week where I receive a letter in the mail telling me I still owed $75. I reached out to Dr. Manocha's office again. Except this time, I told them I would be going to the state medical board with a complaint due to all of the poor behavior the doctor displayed. Apparently, the threat of going to the state medical board and filing a complaint was enough to finally get a phone call back in which the young lady at his office could not have been less interested in being helpful or nice. I asked to have the doctor give me a call to go over everything that had happened, the young lady promised that he would but it might not be until Friday the very next day (today) I received a call from the same young lady, but not the doctor. She informed me that this was my fault for not scheduling an appointment after I've had my imaging done. I informed her I was specifically told that the doctor would reach out to me, which he never did as well as the fact that I called over 30 times and left voicemails that were never returned. Her response was "you still should've scheduled an appointment," but failed to explain how I could've possibly scheduled an appointment with this office if nobody ever got back to me every person I have interacted with at this office has been rude and just north of shady. The doctor should not have a license, and the people in his office should not be employed if this is what they consider to be quality care for people in pain

I have a thirty-three degree scoliosis curve that was just discovered two summers ago when I went…read morein to have x-rays taken for my sprained shoulder. I was super freaked to find out about my twisted spine, even more so when I started researching the surgery that corrects it. Let's just say it involves a pneumothorax, rib removal, metal rods/bolts, a few months of strict bed rest, and at least six months recovery to normal activities like brushing your hair and bathing yourself. Ugh. From the ER where I found out about my spine, I went to my family doctor, then a pain specialist (though I was in no pain), then to get more X-rays, then to a neurosurgeon in Marion who made me do a circus dance and measured me from just about every angle. The neurosurgeon said I was okay and that I just needed to be monitored via X-ray every five years or so. I was relieved and happy to hear that I didn't need the surgery. I avoided getting a second opinion because I was too afraid of someone telling me that the Marion surgeon was mistaken and that I needed surgery pronto. But, I recently mustered the nerve to visit Dr. Jason Dapore for a second opinion (and just to get a doctor closer to where I'm living now). Dr. Dapore is everything I hoped he would be. He is prime age for a doc - not too old and set in his ways, he is young enough to know about new technology and procedures. But he isn't too young so as to be inexperienced. He made me do the circus dance again and looked closely at my X-Rays. He let me ask him a zillion questions. He was very patient with me. He reassured me that I do not need the surgery now, and probably won't ever need it if I keep my back strong and flexible. He set me up with a physical therapy team in the same building where I'm learning a lot about and already feeling better about being proactive with my scoliosis. The rest of Dr. Dapore's staff is also excellent, and the building is top-notch. The waiting room is large with many options on where to sit and a skylight at the apex of the room. There's also a good variety of reading material from Highlights to Entertainment Weekly to the Dispatch. The ladies at the front desk even make an effort to memorize your name and pronounce it correctly. Plus, the two bathrooms in the front (bathrooms are my niche) are big and always clean. I would give Dr. Dapore 6 stars and a hug if I could, but alas, five will do.

I missed the call from my awesomely concerned family doctor who had already reviewed my ER records despite the fact that it was a holiday and she was supposed to be relaxing. She wanted to have me come in for a follow-up exam. Since I didn't recognize the number and my voicemail box was jammed full, I didn't know I was supposed to go in. But on Thanksgiving, in the evening, when I relapsed into that toxic pain and shaking, my family called Dr. Rentel. She was there, and she had advice. She got me through the night and saw me first thing Monday. This is the most compassionate doctor. I love her to pieces. She has her patients' best interest in mind. She really cares about your health. And she's funny and easy to talk to. I have high praise for Dr. Rentel. If you're looking for a new family doctor, definitely try to get in with her. It will be tough. Since she's so amazing, she's always booked full. But if you happen to call the office when they're taking new patients, you musn't undervalue the opportunity. Jump on it! Dr. Rentel is the best.

They sent me away with anxiety meds. Needless to say, I didn't take them and went to see Dr. Rentel the following Monday. By chance, I was assigned to her when I was a student at OSU in the student health department. She asked me if I had allergies, to which I replied NO. She took a good look at me and said, "Yes you do." She gave me oral steroids and within 24 hours my breathing issues were totally resolved. Turns out, I have a severe grass pollen allergy that developed as an adult and procudes asthma. I'm now taking allergy shots to help build a tolerance to my allergies and symptoms. I wasn't crazy afterall!
