I attended the festival arts this past weekend on March 2nd, 2024. I enjoyed it, and so did the rest of my family!

Local art center. A place to spend some time perusing local art shows and on in the walls. There are all kinds of art classes for kids and adults. They are always putting on fun events like the Flluxe art festival where local and professional chalk artists in the region paint art in the streets. The Panama City Center for the Arts is the crown jewel of downtown Panama City. New Director Kim Griffin White has been in place for just over a year and she and her staff have really done an amazing job of turning the gallery around after some years of mismanagement. They are constantly bringing in not only great art and hosting classes for all types of artistic endeavors, they also feature live music and have a great space available for all types of events. The Center for the Arts is an under visited gem in Downtown Panama City. Under its previous director it had fallen into disrepair and was mismanaged. Under the awesome leadership of Kim Griffin White it has been reborn as a showcase for the arts. It has a wonderful mixture of both local and international art by both established artists and very talented school children. If you haven't been there recently you are missing out on one of the jewels of downtown. My wife and I try to visit regularly as the exhibits change frequently. In addition to exhibits the center also features art classes and has rental space available for events. It is within easy walking distance of good food at Millies, Ferrucis, Tatianas and Trigo. read more
