You could not…read moresuppose find such a great place to entertain kids and the whole family in the middle of farms, cornfields, farming lands. The lots of facilities to fancy kids. Tickets are very cheap (5 Euro). You can get for another 3 Euro a fancy country style trolley to carry a stuff and kids together. My daughter asked me why they don't invent it in UK theme parks? A lots of room for barbeque and family party. Don't forget to take own drinks and food. We had an amazing afternoon here just shortened by the summer storm and rain. I definitely will come back here with family. I recommend it to everyone.

There are no electronic rides, it's all about old fashioned water fun or pedal objects & slides. The highest slide is a real thrill even for adults!!! The area is huge and queues were small, so we spent all day and didn't manage to do everything. Kids just ran wild and had heaps of fun. We ate food there which was extremely cheap, Frankfurter & Chips for 1.50 Euro, Coke/Fanta all 1.00 Euro etc. I think for the price, you'll be hard pushed to get any better value! Best ages for kids would be 5-13 I guess. Try and pick a nice day and bring swimming trunks and towels as you/they will get wet! I was burried by my kids under tons of dry corn, we made our own water feature out of guttering, and patted are a few small animals too. Everything to make it enjoyable for all children. My top tip would be to bring your own food to BBQ as they have BBQs everywhere you can make use of for free. You can rent a little cart for 3 Euro deposit to put everything in and pull it along. We'll be back next summer!

Since it's a roller coaster in the dark, that diminishes the experiences and it's just a roller coaster in the dark. It's loosely about birds. The queue has a vaguely Middle Eastern theme. It involves a very narrow staircase (the queue). You sit in pairs. Now that there are pandemic precautions, they don't fill the entire car. You can tell that Vekoma is the ride manufacturer because their name is emblazoned across the bar in front of you. Some of the scenes you see are a huge bird egg, stationary birds and lights but the coolest part is [spoiler] when you enter a huge skeletal mouth. In all, this coaster is short but surprisingly fun.

Wow, what a surprise this was. It's not possible to see everything that Efteling has to offer in…read moreone day so I was being very picky about what attractions to visit. When I heard that this was an indoor coaster with no inversions and a max speed of 40 mph that sounded like a hard "pass" to me. Because of the Efteling app I was able to see that the wait was really short when I happened to be near the ride so I figured I'd give it a go. What a mistake it would have been to miss this ride because I loved it! The exterior of the building is a giant bird statue (the biggest in Europe according to Wikipedia!). The coaster cars allow two people to sit next to each other. You don't get launched but rather go up a lift hill in the dark with green lasers breaking the darkness. There's a wonderful background song that starts pumping from inside the cars and you'll feel wind blowing on you before you start accelerating. It's a wonderful effect. There are a couple of "bird things" that light up during the run but otherwise you're in complete darkness. I don't know if the darkness was a factor in it but I felt like I was going so much faster than 40 mph. There's one turn in particular where you really feel the G-forces but it's not jerky at all. I never would have believed the max speed of this ride if you had told it to me if I went in not knowing anything. The ride ends with the coaster entering the mouth of a colorfully lit snake. As soon as I went out the exit I immediately went back into the entrance to ride again. If I wasn't on such a time crunch I would have rode it a third time. Vogel Rok rocks!

Imagine you are training for tough mudder, or you just want to relive your childhood, or you are tired of mechanical rides, or you want to get some exercise in, this place has exactly what you are looking for: a wild magical land filled with constructions that require your physical strength and daredevil mentality to get through all the obstacle courses. The reward is great. The thrills are aplenty, and you know what, all those reading about European style playground, especially in Sweden, and Germany, is all true. The structures are one of the kind. Each game area is unseen before in America, and there is no "rides" per se, every single complicated, whimsical structure requires fearless attitude, intense physical strength and all the good things you learned from climbing trees as a kid. It's not just for kids, mind you, it's for aduits too. The entire place is situated in the woods, and no two structures are alike and they are all crazy looking. I climbed a few things, and went down the water slides a few times as well. I was really enjoying the trampoline but that zip line thing was too hard. The entire time I was thinking, why could't America build something like this? It's like from another universe. A world that imagination comes alive and we learn to be a kid who enjoyed physical activities and did things like an little adventurer would. In that regard, it makes the modern amusement park that cost over $100 a day, with a line out of the door, and kids did very little but waiting in line seemed so insufferable. A couple of logistical things to note: bring cash if you are not Germans. They did not even take my French mastercard debit card. You should drive here. It's about 1.5 hours away from Dusseldorf. It has a lot of shades so sunscreen is not absolutely necessary, so don't panic if you forget them. It closes at 6, but you can stay in the park until 7 in the summer. They are Germans so when it's 6:59 you'd better be out of the door. And finally, no fast passes any kind issued. Ketteler Hof is an amusement park of a completely different type of concept: no powerful high-tech attractions, no roller coasters and free fall towers, Ketteler Hof is jungle gym inside of a nature park called Hohe Mark. It is filled with one of kind German structures, it requires us to tap into the inner adventure selves and go forward without hesitation. We were all kids inside and we can be kids again, even kids!
