He responded right away to my inquiry, set up a date that worked with my schedule, showed up early and took me through the whole process step-by-step. Needing some rescuing of my pool pavers (almost 20 years old) due to lack of luster and some that are very porous, I was a bit skeptical as a previous paver sealer did one coat and it lasted about 3 months. The job was done in less than 8 hours and left my pool very dirty, I had to clean my pool filter daily due to the incredible amount of sand that made it into my pool, and my french drains were filled with sand and the sealant decreasing the flow of water. Lucas however, took an incredible amount pride in keeping the dirty paver water away from the pool and pushing it out to the sides, had a procedure to minimize sand in my pool and covered my french drains. He also has a 2-day process to ensure that the sand has settled and is dry before the sealing process. As he completed the FIRST COAT, he realized how "thirsty" my pavers were and put on extra sealant to make sure the pavers were done right. THREE COATS later, you can see a snapshot of the before and after picture. Sorry I don't have more, but this was truly the best shot to show you the AMAZING difference. We read through their reviews and looked them up on Better Business Bureau and decided to call them. We contacted them online and Hiago called us back in a timely manner. His listened to our needs and set up an appointment to come out to look at the work to be performed. He took photos and measurements, explained the work that the company could provide. A few days later we had a quote for the work along with photos of samples of the colored concrete blocks that we could choose from. We agreed to the quote. This was not inexpensive. I say that the cost was comparable to a pretty good used car. Hiago ordered the concrete blocks required, we had to go to the county courthouse to pick up the work permit. 1/2 the payment was payable in advance when we signed the work contract and the rest of the payment was due at the conclusion of construction. We payed with Cashiers Checks. The work took place over two days, where they tore out the original wood retaining wall and began setting the concrete blocks. The Foreman was on site throughout the construction and we were able to go out every so often to see their progress. The workers were professional and definitely appeared to know what they were doing. They finished the wall and hauled away the old wooden structure. The workers was performed in April 2025 and I wanted to wait to write this review to make sure that this wall was solid. I'm writing this in February 2026 and the wall looks great and we have not had any issues. The concrete blocks that we chose blend in nicely with the landscape and every time we drive by the back of our home, we are proud of our purchase. Spending this kind of money, we really want to be proud of it for a long long time and I think we will be. One of the best parts of this experience with American Pavers was the thorough and timely communication by Hiago. He was attentive and always friendly and warm. I would hope that all interactions with contractors would be so pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you Hiago and thank you American Pavers. Then in October, Hurricane Milton decided to take down one of our neighbors tall pines which slammed right through the pool enclosure and into our pool. Half of the aluminum and screens were demolished. It took two+ months for our insurance company to tell us that they wouldn't replace it, and to repair it would cost less than the deductible. So we were two months behind everyone else who was looking to repair from the hurricane. We got a lot of quotes. Some companies took a month to get us a quote. Almost no companies would quote us on repair, only replace. Structural integrity and all that. Of all the companies we got estimates from, ASAP was the best with price and communication. It was an easy choice. It took a few weeks to get the project started, but they had told us that would be the case. They pulled the permits and once they got started, it was a matter of days, and ...perfect new pool enclosure. The communication was great the whole process and we are happy to have it completed.
